You have the numbers to make things happen over there. That will be your saving grace. I started a thread a few months back inquiring as to the laws in America regarding firearms compared to the UK. I was surprissed to find some laws in the US more strict in some instances and the same in others. Some Cities in the US have banned handguns as in the whole of the UK. Also we can have pistol grips/flash hiders/silencers/bayonet lugs/unlimited mags without much restrictions. OK we cannot have semi-auto above 22lr but I love shooting my AR even if it is "straight pull"

If i would be bold enough to give ALL of you guys some advice.

ANYONE who thinks that the confiscation is justified "under the circumstances" is a traitor to their country.

All of the bullshit about the 2nd Amendment (legal battles, boycotts, collective v. individual right, "assault weapon" bans, import bans, ATF rulings, etc.) is now just that--BULLSHIT.

Americans' rights under the Constitution have been taken at gunpoint by illegal orders and those acting under zero legal authority to do so.

If anyone has any question about what will happen on a larger scale, they are stupid, or complicitous.

It's time to draw up fucking sides right now and put it on record about where the patriots stand, and where the government lackies stand.

Its a .asx file which is streamed from CNN. I could only find the file in my cache and it is a .dat file. You can put the following in a http:// and watch but that is as far as I could go.

I believe you need some other software to record what is shown in media player. Google save .asx to disk and you can get some $ software I believe....

You have asked for opinions so I am going to give you mine.
Part of the problem with our country is the lack of citizens taking responsibility for their own well being.
Having spent 18 years of my life working in Public Safety, Fire, EMS, and Police, I feel qualified in saying that the average citizen has no concept of personal responsibility.
I don’t know of a single community in our country that has a Fireman, Policeman, or Medic standing by for an individual. Public Safety responsibility is for the public as a whole not for an individual.
As citizens we are responsible for our own well being. In hurricane country that means having a plan to leave and all the basics to subsist should we decide to stay.

Black or white, rich or poor, it does not matter, if we are living in a part of our country where natural disasters occur it is our responsibility to look out for our selves.
Our Local, State and Federal Governments will arrive and they will help, but it is on us to stay in good shape until they arrive.

Finally a note to our Local, State and Federal help. It should not be part of your plan to disarm citizens that took the responsibility to protect their families and property while you were busy elsewhere. They helped you by taking care of themselves while you helped those that couldn’t. Don’t roll up after all the crime and violence is under control and take their means of self defense. This order from whoever issues it is an order of cowardice. I am glad to know that more then a few Law Enforcement Officers think the same way and refuse to take part in this travesty.

In addition to denouncing this in the press, GOA will also be looking to draft legislation at both the state and federal level to preclude authorities from imposing ANY firearms restrictions during emergency response activities.

I have written each of my elected representatives. Sen. Boxer and Sen. Feinstein are likely a losing cause but it was good to throw it back in Feinstein's face that "confiscation" was not an issue. Dana Rohrabacher is another story and I urged him to do his Constitutional duty or "for his own good" I would get him clipped.

2 questions.

Seriously, I've been following this since yesterday and I was the last one IBTL on the last thread before VA gunnut locked her up at 6 this morning.

I have not heard one thing about this on local or the regular nation reports. I have called my local stations and asked the hard question of "why." They told me they haven't heard anything about it. Yeah, right....

I fired off emails to my people in AZ as I'm still a resident there. I only stay in OH to care for Gramps. It would be a lost cause to contact the people in OH anyway. They are RINO's here and you'd get more response from Hillary herself. At least she is true to her party.

Letter to my senator Mel Martinez.

Not even a citizen of Louisiana I am apalled by the state of things there. The police are CONFISCATING weapons of citizens. This is illegal and violates the second amendment. The police are acting like NAZIS in the second world war.

Any violation of our endowed rights should never be accepted, under any condition. The elected officials in Louisiana and ANY other participating parties who are in any way involved with disarming the citizens of Louisiana should be convicted, tried, and sentenced for the CRIMES against their citizens.

In any government, the people should be in power. The people keep the government in check, this is why we seperated from England in the first place! Any curbing of OUR freedoms for temporary security is against anything ever taught by our history.

Tomorrow, I am going to flood EVERYONE's phone, Or at least, NRAs, LA governors, both my reps, and Sen. Frist.

I have to admit, my first instinct was to paint up a truck with relief agency markings, throw in a couple crates of Beecher's Bibles, hide them under a bunch of tampons, water, and MREs, and then drive over to that neighborhood I saw on TV that the military invaded and looted.

We live in America. If they want to stay, they can stay. If they want to use guns as defense, it is their right. No one should ever be forcefully removed from their property, even if it is smart to do so.

Anyway, on the original post, hiding them or lying is an option, but how could ANYONE allow the constitution to be butt-fucked in their presence. It's up to YOU to make a scene and be a martyr when this shit happens.

I get about 100 spam emails a day.
I delete them as fast as they come in.

Does anyone really expect congressmen, representatives, etc. will
do anything less?

Is everyone so naïve as to think these elected officials give a shit what
gun owners think, especially right now?

I’m smart enough to know I’m not smart enough to have an answer.

I’m not a member of the NRA.
My irate letters in the past have been directed towards them over things
like their blatant disregard for the citizens of Cook County Illinois.
I moved out of Illinois because the State is bad and getting worse,
and the NRA was worthless. The only response I got was that
the NRA was continuing to work towards blah blah blah. BS.

Maybe the US needs a new organization.
Something that protected all guns rights, for all firearms,
for all people, in every state, all the time.

Any ideas?
