That looks like a factory 18.5" with a Samson Flash hider, he probably measured the OAL with the muzzle device.

Wanted this setup ever since this thread popped up .
Decided to use a RUGER collector series . Model 31191
Had the nice sights, rail , and threaded .

Can you take a close up picture of that area for me? I have the Samson heat shield and will be able to tell you if it's possible to fit it with a good look at the area. Even if you had to modify the heat shield a bit, I think it would still be worth it.
