I’m looking at getting some 20” barrels cut with midlength gas journals for testing.  Ports should be a lot smaller.

That would be awesome! What gas journal size?

Probably a good idea, since you are gonna have a lot of barrel past the gas block.

I think I'd go intermediate instead of mid for a 20" barrel.

L6 already needs extra gas.  More dwell can’t hurt and I don’t believe it will be radically excessive based on published specs.  Also.  I already have midlength oprods for my piston kits.

I wanted to ask u guys about a bolt trip. I like the innoculum lower . I want a dedicated lower . What I want to do is be able if needed to fire the trigger with my birdy finger , and use my index finger to work the bho to simulate an open bolt. So I wanna be able to latch and release while firing. The innoculum lower looks like it’s made to release but not as easily latch. Does anyone have experience with this??? Maby I’m better off with a pdq or hk416 style. I’ve home made this sort of thing by welding an extension on.

New adapters will be on hand early October and I'm working on a dedicated lower too, but probably won't be until sometime next year at the earliest.

It already is, they sell 300BO barrels on their site. They have ti get caught up with production I imagine before they offer different barrel options on the uppers, but for build kits you can already get the 309bo barrel directly from L6

  • Riflespeed .875 Gas Block to pair with the KAK barrel

I have essentially the same setup. I ordered the RS8721. The adjustment knob starts right where the rail ends. It’s not that hard to adjust, just the right length.

I really wanna run an sig style ambi like the pdq . Cuz I wanna be able , when the gun gets to cook off range. I want to   Pull the trigger with my birdy finger and work the bolt with my index finger. As needed of course. And I could also swap belts with my right hand continuously on the grip. The hydra has a big ridge right there. They have a Ambi model but it’s release only. Innoculum has what looks like release only but I think I could cut and reweld it to work but they take forever to receive and just raised price 50$ the only other one I’ve noticed is a cryoreserch they’re supposed to make a 80% regular style but still 60days plus away. I’m fine with a 80% but this is the one gun I’d Maby prefer a regular 4473 lower. But that’s a whole different discussion. I suppose for now I’m going to keep running a regular lower with the sig ambi release. Oh BTW I sold all but 1 of my 500 link listings on eBay. I believe the tabs really helped and I’m thankful for that.

Oct5 can u or have u tried firing your lower and simultaneously pressing the bolt catch up and down to catch while firing? Can u fire it with your index while manipulating the catch with your birdy? In your video u lock the bolt back with your right hand while latching it back with your rh finger but can u easily latch it with your right hand while on the grip? I wish I could try it myself. I know how easy a pdq style works but I don’t know how easy or stiff yours is.

The right side is catch on our lower. Press in, and it kicks the catch up. You can easily use your middle finger on the trigger, and hover over the catch with your index. Release would be just pulling the charging handle back.

Left side is catch and release.

We are a good ways out however yes.

There are multiple threads warning against Cryostructure on this forum and plenty others across the internet. I've never tried manipulating the trigger and bolt catch with the same hand simultaneously, but as long as you have the dexterity it should be doable.  The bolt catch is no stiffer than the mag release.

So, things are starting to get crazy with all of the different buffer configuration options, but here is the latest chart:

The "spring booster" is not something that the early orders came with, but we started including recently. It basically adds preload to the black spring to make it the same strength as the sprinco orange spring.

The steel disc you are talking about is almost never needed, but there are instructions on pages 1 and 2 in the manual about how to check if your lower needs it.

Saw the 12.5" Lika Six upper on the site. Curious why you can't pick an option to buy with an Inconel gas tube. Only the stainless seems to be offered.

Is the gas tube for the 12.5" a different length then the regular sized upper? Availability thing or????

The inconel gas tubes have been extremely difficult to get on time, and unfortunately it has caused us to be late on uppers. We removed it as an option for both the 18" and 12.5" uppers to avoid orders being late.

That said, we have started production on thick-walled 316 stainless gas tubes that will eventually be standard equipment on all uppers. We are still a few months out from this change. When they are ready, we will offer them individually for sale, and we will have installation services available as well.

    Honestly that looks pretty skinny.

An optimal barrel has both mass and surface area. That one looks like maximum surface area but its still low mass.

I am using orange Sprinco spring , used H2 , H3, H4 buffer and getting same results. Spring appears to not have enough force. Please advise . ThanksAttached File

I had to remove the rubber washer from the bolt for mine to run reliably. Also on that gun the $43 trigger kicker has worked best out of all the FRT’s that I’ve tried. I believe the trigger kicker introduces less friction then some of the other options.
