So what's the best deal out there right now? I've been drooling over this thread for months, and just got a raise at work, so I've decided to grab one. GunZoneDeals has a grey model for $829, but the model number in the description is CG11PO while the number in the link is j32cgii. The description says it comes with an improved choke, and there are some add-ons available. GunZoneDeal Grey A300UP Stock QD socket mod with Noveske QD socket. Also added an Aridus bolt release & follower; Beretta pro lifter; and extra power spring. I had one of early one-piece plastic mag tube covers, so I swapped that out for the all-metal Nordic Beretta 1301 / A300 Patrol Kit. I have a metal plate in my shoulder that basically amplifies any vibration, so I threw on a limbsaver recoil pad and it's a very soft shooter. I've meant to put an optic on it for months now, but it's so much fun basically blowing targets in half with the iron sights I keep putting that off. |

I don't like remote switches; I avoid them when I can. After my last night shoot I pondered a new WML setup to experiment with. Placing the TLR RM2 at 11 o'clock makes the rear switch fairly accessible and doesn't appear to affect aiming/handling much (range testing needed). The downside is right-side bbl shadow, I'll have to do another night shoot to see how bad it is (or isn't). For now I'm leaving the remote switch attached and functional until I decide whether or not to forgo the remote switch entirely. Attached File Previous setup: Attached File |

I've installed two of them w/o problem, but it can be tricky and requires a little manual dexterity. There are YT videos on how to do the installation (posted earlier in this thread IIRC) if you have any questions. This and a new mag tube spring are, imho, the best upgrades you can get for the A300 Ultima Patrol. |

After much consideration and experimentation, I'm trying a Streamlight HL-X (1k L, 50k C) at 6 o'clock where I had the previously mentioned Streamlight TLR RM2. I like that it's in-line w/the bore, nothing extra extending to the sides, no switch plug to work free due to recoil, both momentary & constant-on available on the remote switch (I simply haven't been able to find a non-remote switch WML setup I like, sigh...) and there's only a touch of bbl shadow at 12 o'clock. Just picked up an A300UP. Thinking the following for the build on this one: Beretta Pro Lifter GG&G Aluminum Extension tube cover with MLok clamp GG&G match saver GG&G Zhukov handguard LTT heat shield LTT switch mount Streamlight HLX Aimpoint ACRO P2 with some sort of direct mount Any thoughts? |

As posted a little while ago, replace the factory magazine tube spring, lots of reports about them going soft before long. Look at Farrow Tech and LTT for mounts. LTT has the Fastback mount. Looks sharp but I have not purchased one yet. I run a Farrow Tech 509t mount with a Mepro MPO S. |
