It can be done! (by my local 'smith  ) Not much room and disassembly/reassembly are a little more involved, but it does seem to work w/o interfering with function and this QD cup location is so much better.If, however, this doesn't work out I have a couple of spare forend adapters to replace the modded ones with. | If you put a heavy RDS on that rail with only the 2 screws holding it the recoil will shear those screws off in the receiver. Best to remove the rear sight and use all 4 screw locations to help prevent the issue. You would have to have someone drill a longer rail to match the screw holes as I have not found someone manufacturing a rail that would fit.. |

Welp I finally decided to get one, have been watching the prices and picked it up for 825 plus shipping, I paid some more for insurance, because Alaska. Most likely will not buy again from that vender. Yes they do high volume and have good prices shipping to Alaska, but dam it was in a tatered mfgr's box in a larger box with no packing mats to protect it. No damage on the shotgun, but dam put a little effort in to packing it so it will not get damaged. All totaled $866.00 to my FFL's door. I will say the stippling is no joke. It is Sharp and I think I am going to hit with a little sand paper. Put the velcro on it and 2 cards (one on the receiver and the other opposite my face on the butstock.) all loaded 20 rounds 15 buck and 5 slugs. Now a light and off to put some practice in at the range. |

@Tomac I did the left side qd sling mount modification just a bit ago. I may have done this slightly different than yours, I am not sure. Observations: The IWC sling adapter has 2 small nubs on the left and right sides of the center attachment screw. I used a file to remove these nubs and then touched up the anodizing afterwards. If I had not filed these down, I don't think the sling mount would have looked right. I mounted my adapter in the exact same place as yours. It's solid, but due to the contours of the forend, the mount has a slight rearward angle to it. For that reason, I wish this could be mounted slightly up from this location where the forend is flat. I didn't look closely enough, but I am guessing that there is a reason this location was not used. Anyway, that's me being overly critical. Overall the mount works and looks pretty nice. Attaching the sling to this new mount, frees up the left side m lok slot which will allow me to place a non tapeswitch light in reaching distance. |

I would like to see Beretta make this a factory option so we don't have to resort to DIY (good job, btw ) or 'smithing to place the QD cup in such an advantageous position. All I can say about mine to this point is that they work and don't seem to affect reliability. |

Anyone try the Strike Industries RMR mount for their A300? I am wavering between the GG&G and the SI mounts for my new A300UP I like that the SI mount will work with multiple optic footprints, but im not a huge fan of SI as a brand, but I hear the screws for the GG&G are super soft and strip easily and come loose. |

Welp the Urbino stock rotated just as I thought it would just free floating on the back of the receiver. 6 rounds of winchester military buck and it moved about a quarter inch. Only 6 rounds is not acceptable. I reinstalled and tightened and loctite it, we will see. Might switch back to the factory stock, I don't like my stocks moving around. |

Just ordered an A300. Got the pro lifter and a new mag spring coming along with a replacement mag tube support and cover. I intend on putting a micro dot on this, so my question regards the sight height differences between the 1301 and A300. Is there a difference in the heights of the rear sights, the front sights, or both? If so, how significant is the difference in terms of POI from POA. I'm looking to put a Crom mount on, which includes the rear sight but only if there is no difference in the rear sight height. ETA correction |

No affiliation, not an endorsement, don't really know anything about the company. That said, Gun Zone has A300s for 799.95. Lowest price I've seen. I believe this is the LE model, so no Velcro or Mobil Chokes. |

  Waiting for my Pro Lifter to come in. ETA: Pro Lifter install was easy as hell. Just flip the little D clamp over prying up from the opposite side of the flat. No deformation at all and very quick. Really like how it opens up.

Let's try round two. Attached File Sold my first one a year and half ago for some dumb reason and regretted it ever since. Told my wife not to let me sell this one . The shop had just got in a slightly used camo version that had an aftermarket breacher choke and an RMR plate installed for the same price as this one but I just wasn't sure about the long term durability of the finish.ETA. Going to rob the Surefire from one of my rifles that can go without to put on this, replace the weak mag spring, and add a sling. |

I was dead set on a multicam one in until I got hands on them at the store. All of the ones they had were very poorly finished, lots of blemish’s. I opted for a multicam sling and shell card to dress it up and may do a vinyl wrap myself. |
