My Trace Blue model's finish is perfect, smooth. It's really grown on me. Mine seems to have more black and blue than gray. And not so many of the spider web type lines. But there is some. I've been hesitant to drill a QD point into the stock due to the special model (Noveske/Grovetech). |

Just my .02, Beretta really should have done the factory mount on the side anyway. Or do something like this. |

If I'm understanding your question correctly (correct me if I'm mistaken), GR sights are much better than just a plain bead when shooting slugs, but not as good as an RDS. If you're referring to this specific GR sight on the UP, they should be fine so long as you don't need to lower POI. Sorry, I haven't done any testing with slugs, yet. HTH... |

Okay, I succumbed to the siren song of the RDS.  Here's my budget setup for experimentation: GG&G RMR mount w/a Meprolight MPO-F, total outlay about $275. So far, just from handling it, I like it a lot. I don't have to raise my head much to center the reticle in the HUD and the GRS cowitness is great, will range test it this week. | My mods to my a300 ultima patrol. 1301 adjustable rear sight, magpull QD mount on the front left side of handgaurd, rear one works great. Streamlight mount with flashglight to right side of handguard and pressure pad on the left side. And new buttpad from Limbsaver. Only odd thing about mine is the mag tube cover is two piece design, anyone else have that????? |
