So whats the preferred optic range for the recce? 1-4/6? 3-9? 2.5-10? some variable + red dot? any of the above? For the concept not the clones

Yeah, but the mount isn't milspec. LOL. Just kidding. I'm probably wrong and they're in the wild right now anyways... I forget if we've seen them on a .mil gun. You have a Giesselle trigger too?

Which scope is that? I know it's a leupy but I don't know of one with Target turrets AND the gold ring on front. It's not a hog hunter is it? I can't keep up with them all....

Just placed an order on the Bushnell engage 2.5-10 and Aero Precision 30mm mount. Should be here Thursday. No reviews out on these yet so I'm going to check it out before I mount it up if I don't like it I'll send it back to midway but I got my hopes up.

Here's my updated SEAL Recce wannabe rifle. The scope is a SWFA 1-4 classic that I'm using for the time being. I want to get something to let me stretch out a bit further, but don't really have the cash for a Nightforce or Mark 4. I was thinking about a Leupold VX R Patrol 3-9 with the firdot tmr. Is there any other scope I should be considering around the $400-$550 range that would let me reach out to say 600 yards?

Since its raining here today, I got the fam out and cleaned everyone. I finished my Recce build on Tuesday and it shoots great.

Yep, you nailed it. All you need is a dog and a CAR stock with the john masen buttpad. I swear it looks like the same gun / guy but different stock....... Well, I guess different rail too. And can.... But other than that.... (grip and mount).
  OK, so maybe not the same guy. Hhehehehee colors look awful similar and scope too. Maybe they're brothers.

got my new scope in. Bushnell Engage 2.5-10x very very nice for the price. Its actually a little bit crisper and clearer than my leupold mark AR
Serious question.. should I pull the standard Aero 556 barrel and replace it with a more match quality barrel? It does shoot sub moa as it is |

New BCM KD4 upper. SS410 barrel with 1/7.7" twist spec'd by Kyle Defoor specifically for MK262. Whatever

I was google Horigan M4 (thinking that maybe that might yield different results than the word "recce") since I'm not sure what all photobucket has wiped out of this thread and 2 interesting ones came up. That I don't recall ever seeing. I'm not sure if they're both him or not, but it's interesting to see a scope that's NOT a 1-4......

So stoked on this thing. Loaded up some 77gr TMK to make sure it still likes it I sold the barrel I have in this gun in a build 2 years ago. Luckily I sold it to a friend and got it back! It's the only gun related item I have ever regretted selling. Probably because they stopped making the barrel and I knew I could never have another one. |

Got my Aero out today to the range to sight in my new Bushnell Engage 2.5-10 very happy with this scope. For the 300 bucks you get a MOA reticle, locking turrets 30mm tube and paralax adjustment plus scope caps.
Shot today at 100 yards using a mix of ammo. started with PMC Xtac 62gr M855, then shot some Nosler 77gr smk custom match, then Gorrila 69gr smk and finished with my zero with Fusion MSR 62gr Ive found my Aero prefers 69gr over 77grs. the 69 Gr stuff always shoots very well. 
heres how the reticle looks
