You ever shoot it in cold weather? I thought I remember ADCO saying they usually open up the gas port a bit.  Or you should open it up, I think was the consensus.  So maybe you had that mod.

Very nice looking paint job.  I wish I had the balls to do something like that.  What did you use and how did you do it?

You going full out and doing the exact scope?  I can't quite tell what it is.  Is that one of them super high end tactical Bushnells?  I don't think it's a NF.

The more I think about it the more I want a 4x acog with an RDS on top.  The big thing about the 1-4's is there really is no point to 2 or 3 power.  That I know of.   Or the Elcan....  Mmmmmm, especially if you could shed a half of a pound off that thing.

But it's all peeing in the wind for me.  I'm not sure I'll ever be able to afford good glass.....

Not really sure what he's using, but I'm leaning towards a 1-4 accupoint.

I haven't decided yet.

Ah yes, that Short Dot.  That makes sense.  I forgot about that one.  A TRUE 1x, right?  I think KevinB had that one on his recce.

Both BCM uppers. One is a 410SS and the other a lightweight.

I have an ADM lower on the lightweight upper.
BCM on the recce.

Geissle MK4 and MK8 both in MLOK.

As they sit now, Aimpoint T2 on a Bobro mount and Vortex Razor HD on a larue mount.

SSA on the light weight and SSAE on the Recce.

Really debating it. I don't wanna sbr another lower tho. So I'm trying to decide what to do. Leave it as is. Swap for a 13" black mk2 rail, or just sbr and chop it. Idk yet.
but damn if it doesn't look kick ass. Great balls of Fire has one of the best recce's in this thread.

Damn it, now I feel obligated to chop it!

Is there anyway to chop to a 15" and pin the OPS brake on, so I don't have to sbr this lower??

Are the top mounted red-dots good for using night vision to make a passive shot?

For switching to close range without having to adjust the scope on a 1-4/6/8x  or say you have a 3-9 power scope and need to shoot close range.

the dot on top of the ACOG is also for fast shots where helmet mounted items make the ACOG difficult. I have never tried a digital brightness one with NV settings but imagine it would be easy to get into FOV with it so high

Came across a new line of budget friendly optics from Bushnell in there engage line. They have a 2.5-10 with locking turrets 30mm tube parallax adjustment for $299.

Would made for a great budget Recce optic based on its specs

Came across this picture when I was down loading my pics from Photo Bucket since they do not allow free third party hosting anymore. IIRC, the rifle was built sometime in 2006 using a 16" Noveske RECCE barrel and a newly released URX rail. I really only built the rifle since I was always a fan on Knights products and this was their newest rail offering. Also topped with a NF 2.5-10 x 24. Not sure when the picture was actually taken though but, I knew roughly when the rifle was built.

Stock in a Magpul M93B in FDE and I actually still have that same lower sitting in the safe. Hasn't had an upper mounted to it for quite some time now though. I want to say that I sold the upper back in 2008.

Nice pic and build Jboy...  Although I have to admit, I can't stand the looks of the M93B.  blaaaaaaaaa, looks like transformers or something.  But function over form.  Does it work well?

I still need to swap the .625 ballistic advantage out for an m4 profile, and she'll be done.
