Would be awesome if you could choose a base weapon and add accessories. Would be a pain to keep straight on their end though.

BCEmachine low mount for 30mm optics, rocking a direct mount setup for a Jpoint. this one is made to hug NF rings closely. this one is still in the raw. can be used as an offset or straight up with an upper 1/3 view with Mark4 turrets.

I had the same thought so I drew up a couple clones. Not done yet, but I'll order some patches / stickers and other crap if anyone is interested. Will have more info on my IG later this week.

Tiny I'd be down for whatever you create with that design, but one of those blacked out gun stickers would be pretty sweet

What do ARMS 22 rings without lever stops fetch these days? also is it sort of redundant to run high rings on a recce rail?

Who knows about the rings without the lever stop, I think it might be cheaper now to just buy some nightforce rings instead.  The rings on the recce rail are the Medium rings not the high

Peeled out of the office for a bit yesterday afternoon to put the first rounds through the H and get the scope sighted in.

Results were very promising with 69 SMK's and a standard load of 8208 XBR. Can't wait to fine tune it and run the MOA All Day with it.

Looking forward to the results.  Did you get the 80gr to mag length or are you loading them one by one? Whenever I've shot 80 he they do great but are always loaded long.

2.400 COAL. no way they will be mag length. 2.265 is about maxxx on gi mags lol. my TMK is loaded to 2.260 - 2.262 range ideally.

i single feed 80% of the time on this rifle as it is so its no biggiw to me.

I didn't see the coal originally.  80%!  Good gracious man.  I'll give up .03 grains and load to mag length.  My loads solid out to 690meters, which is as far as I have access to

Was told to cross-post this e-mail from Tim @ DoubleStar, here:

Sorry to take so long getting back with you.  I had to do a little checking and confirming to make sure everything is correct.  what the attached photo showed is:

Gen 3
Gen 1 (long)
Gen 4

Gen 1 Socom stocks  will have a round “nut” (the part the adjustment button screws into) it will also have a gusset with a machined sling loop (this is designed to be ambi, as the gusset can be removed from the stock and installed with the sling loop on the other side).  The Gen 1 will have 2 alignment slots on the top of the buffer tube that use 2 small flat head screws to keep the tube from rotating

Gen 2 Socom stocks will have a square “nut”(the part that the adjustment button screws into) it will also have a gusset with a machined sling loop (this is designed to be ambi, as the gusset can be removed from the stock and installed with the sling loop on the other side).  The Gen 2 will have 1 alignment slot on the top of the buffer tube that uses a set screw to hold in an alignment “nipple” to keep the tube from rotating.

Gen 3 Socom Stocks will have a square “nut”(the part the adjustment button screws into)  It will have a gusset with a tapped hole on both the left and right side of the gusset that will allow you to mount the upgraded Ace sling swivels, this gusset is not reversible.  The Gen 3 will have 1 alignment slot on the top of the buffer tube that uses a set screw to hold in an alignment “nipple” to keep the tube from rotating.

Gen 4 Socom stocks will have a “pill” shaped “nut”(the part the adjustment button screws into)  It uses an ambi receiver end plate and extended and oversized castle nut.(the over sizing and extending  help to strengthen the connection between the stock and the lower receiver)  The Gen 4 will have 1 alignment slot on the top of the buffer tube that uses a set screw to hold in an alignment “nipple” to keep the tube from rotating.

If I have missed anything or you have a question about anything above please let me know.  If you don’t care to send me a link to the forums/threads you post this information in  so I can watch them for questions or to clarify anything I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Tim

so hes saying what we know as a gen 1 is actually a gen 2.

why would they go from the circle to the square? thats a worse design. i dont buy it, but he "knows".

all we know is u need a square latch unless ur cloning that one in front of the lathe.
Link Posted: 4/16/2017 8:40:14 PM EDT
[Last Edit: mrsaturn7085] [#33]
The circle is a stronger design, but in a few other ways the square latch model (and later) has improvements (single channel w/ set-screw retention rather than two screws, etc.).

He is also saying the Gen 2 and Gen 3 both had a square latch, which matches up with the fact that I just bought a Gen 2/3 replacement buffer tube (A613 part no.) and it was the square latch model.

I posted some pics I found and some Augee sent of issued 16" mod 0's as he calls them. I learned not to refer to them as mod H to Augee haha. All of them wearing the gen 1 socom as we know it. I posted over there and thought I'd put it here too. Ask the doublestar rep if he has any pictures or anything at all besides his opinion to back that claim. Here are the pics of issued guns. You should also understand no one is calling you out personally. At least I'm not. But when you claim something that goes against a mountain of evidence with no evidence people are going to want convincing evidence. Cloning is all about being dead nuts on. I did the same thing myself. I wanted 3-9 scopes to have been issued with M1 knobs. It just didn't happen.

I know many of you guys cross post between here and the other thread but just so it's here too. I had black bore guides,Ballistic cards and round count logs made to go in the surplus cases. There are a few, very few still available as of today. I had about 20 extra and in one day that went to about 8. Below is a pic. Contact me with any questions. They are $60.00 shipped for the package deal. 1-bore guide,1-Ballistic card and 1-round count log. Shipped priority. I'll be laying my own mod H case on you fellow cloners soon. It's not a surplus case but I've been working on it. Basically cloning the surplus case but for the H.

That's the problem - there isn't a mountain of evidence, just a bunch of opinions and a company that sells spare parts for these old stocks.

I personally trust the spare parts system that DoubleStar has - I ordered a Gen 2/3 tube and I got the one with the square latch.  The Gen 1 tube w/ round notches is too old and no longer available as a spare part, FWIW.  That being said, the photo of the Mod H in front of a lathe shows that anything but the Gen 4 would suffice... it's just semantics, at this point.  The only reason that clarification is important on the Gen 1-3 stocks is for ordering spare or replacement parts... hence, why I stumbled across this correction.

it is kinda sad. I was talking to my son this morning and he has been wanting an 18" gun. well you know my vote. but there are just no parts. a 2-3 sleeve is just a myth now. hell you cant even get FF RAS right now for a reasonable cost. even with the H your looking for a GEN 1 ace stock. 800.00 on gunbroker. I realize how luck I was to get in when I did and little did I know the decision to do all 4 at once would be the right one. ARMS needs to start making those sleeves again. they would sell the shit out of them. I don't see how that doesn't make sense to them.
