What do ARMS 22 rings without lever stops fetch these days? also is it sort of redundant to run high rings on a recce rail?

so hes saying what we know as a gen 1 is actually a gen 2.
why would they go from the circle to the square? thats a worse design. i dont buy it, but he "knows". all we know is u need a square latch unless ur cloning that one in front of the lathe. |
|
|
The circle is a stronger design, but in a few other ways the square latch model (and later) has improvements (single channel w/ set-screw retention rather than two screws, etc.).
He is also saying the Gen 2 and Gen 3 both had a square latch, which matches up with the fact that I just bought a Gen 2/3 replacement buffer tube (A613 part no.) and it was the square latch model. |

URX II for SR-25(7.62) carbine length. A.R.M.S #36 swan sleeve-PEQ-2 or MOD with no notches for gen 3 PRI tube |
I know many of you guys cross post between here and the other thread but just so it's here too. I had black bore guides,Ballistic cards and round count logs made to go in the surplus cases. There are a few, very few still available as of today. I had about 20 extra and in one day that went to about 8. Below is a pic. Contact me with any questions. They are $60.00 shipped for the package deal. 1-bore guide,1-Ballistic card and 1-round count log. Shipped priority. I'll be laying my own mod H case on you fellow cloners soon. It's not a surplus case but I've been working on it. Basically cloning the surplus case but for the H.

The Gen 1 tube w/ round notches is too old and no longer available as a spare part, FWIW. That being said, the photo of the Mod H in front of a lathe shows that anything but the Gen 4 would suffice... it's just semantics, at this point. The only reason that clarification is important on the Gen 1-3 stocks is for ordering spare or replacement parts... hence, why I stumbled across this correction. |

it is kinda sad. I was talking to my son this morning and he has been wanting an 18" gun. well you know my vote. but there are just no parts. a 2-3 sleeve is just a myth now. hell you cant even get FF RAS right now for a reasonable cost. even with the H your looking for a GEN 1 ace stock. 800.00 on gunbroker. I realize how luck I was to get in when I did and little did I know the decision to do all 4 at once would be the right one. ARMS needs to start making those sleeves again. they would sell the shit out of them. I don't see how that doesn't make sense to them.
