Well here she is. I’ve always wanted one, and over the past year have gathered parts.

Parts list:
Upper:
Colt upper w/ streaked purple patina, Rapidex rear w/ an a2 peep sight
Colt BCG and CH
Colt Barrel and shiny 6 hole hand guards and Colt FH

Lower
All Colt, sans the trigger and forgive the CQD, the upper shares a lower with my mk18

Cool!

Any particular reason you didn't just buy a 733 upper?

How often do Colt 733 uppers show up for sale and for what price?

I was able to piece mine together cheaper than the few I've seen for sale recently.

I haven't seen any real ones for sale in awhile.

Meanwhile, Saw LE sales has NOS barrels ($800, but still) and you can find decent uppers in the $250 or less range if you search.

Hah thanks! The “vantasy” is one of my many projects that life seems to get in the way with. But a 733 and a van seem to make a great
Combo

Awesome build. My Mom still has an ‘83 Chevy van that has almost the exact same seats and interior. I had to do a double take and make sure I was seeing that correctly. I put a crate 350 in it back around ‘99. Still going today but doesn’t get driven much.

Very nice 733, OP!

My lower is also currently sporting a CQD just like your's (for another day or two)..  Just found a 2 position RE w/lock ring from a guy who's posted in here  I think it'll be getting installed so I can finally be done DONE with project 733.

I'll ad an 'after' pic once the 2-pos tube is on for some inspiration

ETA- now with correct 2-position receiver extension, end plate and lock ring!

Great looking rifle! I’ve contemplated throwing are large head FA w/ relief cut on my 733 and also with the wait times for  form 1s being so quick, I’m thinking of making the 733 it’s own standalone rifle. I kinda regret selling off my 2 position tube.

Love it! Building a 733 pistol myself. Almost all the parts together. I'm planning on using a Fostech Echo II trigger just for shits and grins.

Field expedient sling, made out of old GP strap and some 550 cord for the attachments. Really comfy setup for these little guys.

I believe there's a guy selling them readymade with the 550 cord in the EE.

Field expedient sling

And if you feel like crafting your own, here's a good guide.
