Indeed, it’s a SkeetIR-X and they are very neat little units.

That doesn’t prove it’s a Block II optic...

There is literally a list on the first page of this thread and tons of slides that show the program optics

I got to T&E one for a while before a deployment. I don't get giddy about NV/thermal much, but that one did.

Read this thread and the linked articles. It will blow the definition of "clone" into the stratosphere. What's "program" and what is actually being used are not always the same.

The first gen were somewhat lacking, but the latest gen just blow everything else out of the water. They serve well on or off weapons and can support up to 5x magnification as a clip-on without everything becoming pixelated.

There’s SOCOM issued optics, there’s unit purchases, there’s personal purchases. It’s generally been considered in this thread that seen in the wild is good to go.

I guess I just don't understand the point of a thread like this then, you could literally take about half the optics that exist, put them on a rifle, and call it a clone then...

There are legally obtainable units.  Most of the ones you see running around are just regular skeet-l's which are 320 units.  Not that great but decent.  The skeet-x is in fact a 640 and can be had for under 20 with paperwork.

I have a paperwork utm-x which is a 640 unit, pretty much the same as a skeet-x with a slightly better overall image and more features.

If you wanted something cheaper spring for a regular utm.

Tons of dudes run ACOG M150’s instead of SU237’s, are they not good to go?

What about Comp M4’s? They’re not block ii, but they’re sure seen a lot.

If everyone ran the same three optics and a wmx-200 instead of all the awesome stuff operators are seen using this would be a boring thread

Those are previous block optics that everyone knows are accepted because they already exist in the system or an M68 CCO which makes total sense

Thinking of selling my acog and picking up a vortex razor. Can’t afford a geissele mount and the razor right now but I have a Larue LT104 I could use and i’d still like to be able to practice with my KAC sights anyways.

Are there any good in the wild LT104 pics? Preferably with a razor

There’s this one that kinda looks like a LaRue Mount with the horizontal screws but it could just as easily be a ADM mount

Jesus...some SF dudes didn’t get Non FSP RIS II rails until 2015?! Ranger Bn was getting them issued way the fuck back in like 2009-2010 lol

Group gets stuff really late. I remember the vast majority of my company in 2012 had Ops Cores and all the SF dudes I saw were still rocking MiCHs in Astan that year.

Look at you lookin all oper8er. Almost like you actually know what you're doing.

Block 2 looks great BTW.

I noticed you took your PEQ off the mod 0 for the shoot. You know you don't have to worry about that around clone guys right?

Ha! Thanks man, I appreciate it.

I actually sold that device you speak of and funded the M4A1 Block II FSP URG with that money. Just figured it was unnecessary for what I currently need. However, I didn't have my chubby M962 on for the shoot. Was debating about keeping that, but I've added it back on for now. Have to keep reminding myself that when the can gets approved, it will help complete the look of the build; even if it sucks.
