I'm a lefty and run one. My trigger finger falls on the arm of the BAD a bit easier than trying to find the bottom of the bolt release. Then when I insert a mag with my right hand, my thumb pushes on the end of the BAD dropping the bolt.

you just think you want a 727 because you really want a 723.
It's a symptom

Fresh from ADCO after having the SFCT pin and weld. I'll get out and shoot this weekend and rub some grease over that bright BCM logo.

Contrary to what most think, the issue would not be the iPhone and its camera, but the lighting. In great lighting (even pro lighting) the phones behave wonderfully well - surprisingly well.

When taking pictures, always care about the framing and the light more than the quality of the gear you're taking pics with. Lighting, specifically, will do magic.

I speak from the perspective of a once professional photographer.
Light is everything.

I completely agree. But the problem with my phone is it's a 5 year old iPhone 5 with a separated screen. Lint has gotten behind the camera lense lol.

Not bad for spray job...not good for a KBR wash job.

What rounds do you fire for that 203?  Is it a 40mm or 37?

I don't have clones but I like seeing that you didn't feel the need to be a super purist on the stock when the car just isn't that good.

Awesome. Its a 40mm. Ive got a few cases of blue tip cheeto's, a few boxes of air foam LL rounds, CS/CN rounds, and some reloadable beehives (x10 22lr rifled bbl) that are pretty fun to shoot at the range. I only just shot the beehives, but occasionally I'll toss a blue tip into a tree in my backyard for nostalgias sake.

Which is essentially what this carbine is, 5k worth of nostalgia.

Its a recreation of my first issued rifle I deployed with. The HALO can is a heavy pig but its the only one I ever shot in the army.

Took the M4 out for it's first range trip, so far very happy with the build - much quieter than my MK18 with the SOCOM can. Liking the SFCT, looks more at home than a pronged flash hider.

And today a baby block 1.5 was conceived :)

Upper and lower, BCG and charging handle is from a Colt Match Target Competition HBAR II (MT6731 I believe is the model number) that my dad gave me as a kid in 1998. Even though this is a less desirable post ban gun with the large pins, a semi auto BCG and the front takedown pin is a threaded screw, it holds sentimental value and I thought it would be cool to repurpose it as a Sopmod clone. I have a Colt M4 barrel and Matech BUIS on the way via the EE. CQD front sling attachment inbound as well.

Just gotta get ADCO to pin on a flash hider. I'm torn on whether to get a standard A2 with a KAC spacer or an A2X...Surefire would work too...Decisions, decisions...

Glad to finally be able to participate in this thread!

Hey guys, had a question i was hoping youd help me out with as youre more well versed in the clone community than myself. I have a colt socom upper I was planning to turn into a Block 1.5 clone. Having to part with it to fund my long rang project but what is a reasonable price to be asking for them these days? Are they made anymore? Ive looked around online and theyre OOS/discontinued everywhere from what I can see.

I hope this is still clone kosher.  It did have a Sopmod stock and A2 grip, but after using it in a class I made some changes:

I'm no clone expert.  Looks pretty good to me other than the mount and not sure about the light.  But TD grips and CTR's are clone worthy I'd think.  And oh, the SOP for the rollmark is a sharpie I hear.

I have such a love/hate relationship with those handguards.
They get me in the feels when they play the nostalgia card, but there's no good place to put a fucking gangster grip

eta: with that in mind, I've been inspired to build a 2004-ish SMU rifle
