No you let your CAR stock yank out the stragglers. Natural selection GWOT style. Sooner or later you have a nice downy soft cheek rest. Bonus: if you use beard oil it's already lubed up.

As most of you probably know, I don't typically sell my clone uppers, especially ones as perfect as this but I couldn't be more excited to let this one go to a good home. It's been a long search but I finally have my final Vero Beach marked RAS (MRE) handguard to complete my set. Here are the departing pics of this upper before it heads to the chopping block.

Congrats on the find! I'll be in my bunk.

Before you let it go, can you confirm whether or not an ACOG will mate up to that Larue mount?

Took the colt with the ACOG and MRE out to the range for a little therapy. She did beautiful. And tripod shooting is now the only way I can go. Hopefully gonna set it up for an AEM-5 when I can find mounts. Rang some steel out to 300 with it stupid easy.

Also, someone talk me out of selling my URX ii. I really don’t want to but I have 2 10.5’s I love shooting and don’t know if I can talk myself into another short barrel .223/556

Sent Ron measurements for the m4 ops 12th collar the other day.
Is there anything i should know about installing it?  I know they're tight, but how tight? Like thermofit or just wiggle on?

you might only wanna run eotechs on those. The riser in the back will push the acog farther forward. That riser has 2 heights. The slots they have up front are specifically lined up/ spaced for eotech 511, 512, 551, and 552 models with a riser in the back for a magnifier. Have you ever heard of the kram acog riser? Prob not clone, but hands down one of the best solutions for running an acog with a rear buis and they had 3 diff heights to choose from. I may still have mine.

You know it. I heard they used to call it the kidney bean, or the bean. I saw one in a surplus store some time ago and have been looking for a second hand one ever since. Finally found one. I think these guys were ahead of their time. If only they knew. Had to throw it on a build for the heck of it for a quick pic. Terrible pic, terrible light.

Yes, it's 600.  However, the township pitched a fit over "unauthorized expansion" and made them get rid of all steel past 400.  They are currently battling it out with them.

Even if you mount it all the way back? It's splitting hairs with the amount of height it would give, I understand that. For me the ACOG is just a little low, but not 0.5" riser low. My KAC tri-mount is 0.43" and just fine, but options never hurt anyone!

Don't wear a seat belt, the beard will save you.

Mine goes down to the top of my stomach. Fire and getting it caught on things at work keep it at it's current length.

I run 1.93 or higher on every one of my modern rifles. Hell, I have a lower 1/3 mount on top of my AK Dogleg rail. I can feel it being a tough transition to the 1.375 rings when I’d normally have the optic up where the piggyback is.

@CMCctx I can take a pic of that riser for you quick. It's the larue lt110. There is a step up at the back that pushes the acog forward. So even if it fit, which also depends on the mount you are running, it would still push the acog close to an inch forward. Those eotechs I mentioned are about all that play nicely with that riser. So even if you were to have an acog mount that mounted up properly to the lt110, and if you were to run them without a rear buis, the acog would still end up further forward away from your eye. The lt101 has more universal mounting ability, but it is a 5/8' riser.

New mount that gets the MRDS mount pretty low. Didn’t even think about it but having it mounted behind the turret blocked the auto adjust sensor. Unfortunately I had to mount it in the front to even see my dot.
