I got this trigger for 130 bucks as a blem, and 188 for the Cornfire. 9 bucks for the lever blocker. No Super Safety cuts were needed. The selector is sized and textured like a Mil Spec, unlike the ARC-Fire. Simply marvelous. Updates: Instagram Video link My second MARC works with my DD M4A1 and Geissele SAA. The ASD lever blocker appears to be doing its job wonderfully. My first MARC, in a PSA lower and mil-spec trigger, continues to work, and appears to be compatible with my HK MR556A4. Between the two, I put 7 mags through them, and didn't have an issue with either in Faux-Auto. I also seem to have gotten my Dad's AR working with his MARC. H2 buffer seems to have solved the issue, though I'll admit, I backed off of testing it when the thing vented enough gas to slice my left hand's glove up. Not the selector's fault though. Seems like I've found a winner. Unfortunately, the one I purchased for my Father-in-law does not appear to work for him. I haven't had a chance to work on it, but it sounds like it is binding up with the trigger in his Bushmaster. Fires on Semi, but won't fire at all in the third position. Might have to get him a different trigger. Anyone have experience with this specific issue or combination? |

Would also want to verify that the BCG is FA cut, and that it isn't binding on the back of the upper receiver like on this thread: https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Bolt-sticks-to-rear-on-one-AR-only/130-792491/ BTW, good to see you here. Shame about TOS. |

Shame about TOS. Yeah, my thoughts were trigger, and I mentioned the BCG. Didn't think about it being high or low shelf. I'll pass on the info to my FIL. Probably won't be able to get hands on until later in the month. |

![]() Cornfire Arsenal MARC Fun Sorry for the double post, but I worked up a compilation video of the footage I got of shooting my Cornfire MARCs in both my Daniel Defense and a PSA/HK hybrid. Video from both my phone and GoPro. Bottom line, these things just seem to work. |

I can see where you're coming from, 'cause I know where you've been and I can see where you're going 'cause I can see the direction you're headed in. I just don't know where the hell you're at right now.

So I got mine installed in a Spikes lower I had. Used a BCM PNT trigger. Watched their video several times on installation, although I find it lacking. Anyway, it function checks fine in safe and fire, in FRT it clicks, although pull is a bit different. Any other way to function check it in FRT mode outside of live fire to ensure its together correct? When I dry fired it in FRT, I charged it again while holding the trigger and it made it hang up-bolt stuck to rear. I admit not knowing much about these things and how they behave inside the action. Thanks |

Thanks It should not stick during your dry fire test, it should kick the trigger forward as you draw the bolt back, and then let the trigger fall as you're pulling it as the bolt closes. You may need to trim your upper, but the first fix is to drop a US quarter or two behind your buffer spring to see if that fixes it. So start with one quarter behind the buffer spring. If it still sticks on the rearward stroke, try a second quarter, then a third... As you add quarters, check to make sure there's still at least a quarter inch gap between the bolt catch, and the front of the bolt, when the BCG is fully retracted. If it's still sticking when that gap gets less than a quarter inch, we can guide you through trimming the upper. |
| Have you checked for binding by separating the upper and lower and pressing down on the hammer when retracted and moving the MARC lever thru items full range of motion? |

This, I forgot to mention this test, though the Cornfires always seem to pass. Take off the upper, and put the selector in the FRT position. Press the hammer back/down, and while holding the hammer back, swing the trip arm from front to back. You should encounter no binding. If it binds, let us know, and we can recommend fixes. |

Ok. So it passed the binding test pressing hammer in FRT and moving the lever through its range of motion. No problem. Next I added one quarter to the bottom of the buffer tube. That seems to have fixed the issue. I can place it in FRT, charging it multiple times, I can feel the trigger move forward as its supposed to. Absolutely 0 binding or hanging up. So, if this is the case, am I good with that one quarter? Does adding a second quarter do anything/benefit? I am gonna try to get to the range soon to test fire, just don't know when. Appreciate you guys help! |

If I like this thing, will probably grab a couple or three more. All of my SBRs that I would consider running FRT have ACT triggers, so I know Cornfire will work in them. This BCM trigger was a one off, I like it ok for the set up. |

Might have to get him a different trigger. Anyone have experience with this specific issue or combination? How old is the FIL's Bushmaster? The Windham, ME ones with both BFI and L prefixes - the mil spec FCG will work. However, they do NOT come with m16 carriers. You'll need to swap that. With the AR15 carrier, I can see the lever being thrown rearward when switched to the 3rd position and not allowing the trigger to be pulled. Also note in my case the older MARC (lever with a dot) needed the trigger tail filed a little to prevent binding, newer MARC (no markings) was 100% drop in with no mods. I don't have experience with the NY made Bushmasters after Remington bought them. Again, I'd look for a m16 carrier and if it has one check the trigger. I have some "mil spec" triggers that are wider (see S&W) and bind up when trying to go into the 3rd position. It's possible Remington switch suppliers. |
| The current Cornfire MARC safeties are coming with a torx head screw. You can see it on their website. Cool upgrade and something that everyone requested. Might have to get me another. Just an FYI. |

I'm not 100%, but I think he purchased it in 2008-09, shortly after Obama's election. The MARC he has should be the newer one. Purchased it for him for Christmas early/mid December. I'll check for the carrier, and report back when I get a chance to get hands on with his AR. |

Just got mine in the mail. Hopefully ill have a chance to test it sometime in the next few weeks. Install seems pretty self explanatory. I did have a question though. I have a "mil spec" trigger in this lower but I did clean it up some (aka light polish on the surfaces just to knock down any high spots) as well as some JP yellow springs. Mostly to bring the trigger pull down fro. The 8-9 lbs to around 4-4.5. Will this cause any issues with this new part? |

Now their site says ambi is coming this month, so we will see. I am in the market for at least 1, if not two more. So for me it boils down to who can deliver a ambi model, with equal length milspec style levers, for the best price. Right now ARC charges another $30 for the milspec levers. I am hoping they make it a option for buying the ARC with them instead of the normal rounded ones. Guess we will see what cornfire does. |

It all comes down to the small details and what’s important to you. I was buying one for my A1 clone and AS Designs hadn’t introduced the Mil-Spec style selectors at that time. I also didn’t really want an Ambi since it would look out of place on the A1. So the Cornfire worked best. The hex head screw actually resembles a dimpled selector that is contoured similarly to an A1 selector. I’d be fine with buying either depending on requirements. |

Originally Posted By EDL: So now the question...would you get the Cornfire, or the ARC Fire? You can’t go too far wrong with either. My Cornfire MARC happened to work with a Geiselle S3G trigger with zero modifications or fitting - it just dropped in and ran (with an AS Designs lever blocker). With this said, it is essentially a properly made Atrius Super Selektor, with a similar flimsy-looking lever arm and spring and, while I’ve not had a lever arm or spring fail in either my MARC or Super Selektor, I don’t have nearly enough rounds through either to be confident in their long term durability. Lastly, while I don’t care about an ambidextrous selector in a semi-auto rifle, I like it on a full-auto or FRT as I find changing between semi-auto and ful-auto/FRT-mode is easier using my trigger finger. My AS Designs ARC Fire was also an easy drop-in with the provided MilSpec trigger. The trigger pull is agreeably light and smooth for what it is, which is fortunate because the added cost of a modified Geiselle is significant. The lever arm’s robust and durable construction inspires confidence. I’m not a fan of the smooth, low-profile selectors that come as standard with the ARC Fire, nor of having to pay an extra $30 for MilSpec-style selector upgrade parts. Right now, if price is no object, I recommend the ARC Fire with MilSpec selectors and a professionally modified Geiselle trigger. The $460+ price tag makes this the most expensive FRT on the market today. |
