Columbia River Arms/ Black Hole Weaponry is having a sale on barrels, 30% off. If you're looking for a custom barrel, worth a look. Just ordered my second .308Win from them (416R 20" standard weight, graphite black Cerakote, polygonal rifling 1-9.73) for $273 bucks shipped. Bit of a wait time because custom, but accuracy is worth it.
Columbia River Arms/ Black Hole Weaponry Discount code is: MANA30 |
I did a "build your own barrel" setup all the way to where I applied the code.
Mighty tempting I must say. Tag for current reviews to possibly push me into clicking buy. Let's just say the discount alone is tempting. The barrel I want minus coupon is close to 400 and with discount is under 300. Hmmmm. |
I have 9 barrels from them, from 300blk, 6.8SPC, 5.56 all the way to 6.5creed on one of my gas PRS rifle
I have yet to get one that didn't shoot I'll be picking up a pair for future builds If you skip the cerakote, the wait time is much better, just FYI |
My current BHW 18" 308 barrel has the old blackened (nitride?) finish on it. It has been an incredible shooter. The Cerakote finish is quite an improvement, can't wait to get my hands on it. I have a couple other manufacturer barrels, but none of them shoot as well.

If they made a 24” 6.5 CM with a +2” gas system, I might go for it...
Maybe I’ll wait for the next X-Caliber sale Thanks for the link |
OK well I hope it is all worth it. Tomorrow I click buy. Custom 14.5" build here we go.
Hope you got it in in time. I just tried to order 3 more 5.56 barrels, and even though the notification for the sale is still up on the page, it says the coupon is expired. I'll call them in the morning
Wow I just missed it. I too will call tomorrow but if it becomes a no go I am going to laugh my ass off.
SALE IS STILL ON.
I placed my order just now. Extremely excited for this build. |
WTF
I didnt have time to call, but I just tried again, and it's telling me the code expired I tried TrueSportingArms.com, its their "outlet" for blems and other stuff. Picked up my 3x5.56 12.5in barrels for 99 each! I couldn't get a pencil contour, but it was even cheaper than the sale |

I literally "built" another barrel right now and applied code and it discounted it exact same price as I paid earlier. |

Do you have any feedback on the 300 blk barrels? Thanks |

ETA: Their set up needs to be changed. Initially it says shipping is $100 flat on the checkout page. It dropped to $23.33 for one / $39.16 for two (still high) when personal info is filled in. |

Yep, it varies a lot depending on where you are and the barrel lengths. UPS and FedEx both charge a good amount for shipping items that are oddly shaped and are over 20-24inches.
Bartlein charged me $46 and change for a 26inch barrel that came in a 3ft tube. I have a 9.5in 300blk barrel, and its plenty accurate. I did a pistol gas length and an adjustable gas block. The port was .097 if I remember correctly, so big enough to run well. But not HUGE. I left my Gas block right in the middle of the adjustment range, and it runs well both suppressed and un-suppressed. I havent shot it on paper, but once I got it zeroed at 36yd, I can reliably connect on 12inch steel out to 200 with supers. |

View Quote Forgot to say thanks to you re the 12.5 at True Sporting Arms and to the OP for the heads up on the sale. It was tough to find a 12.5 - most everyone was sold out. |
Yep, 12.5 is a perfect length IMHO.
Good ballistics, easy and soft shooting, no issues suppressed or unsuppressed and with my sandman K, it's still shorter than 16 would be. More comfortable handguard length too. |
Damn I need a 6x45 ASAP need to put meat in the fridge I need a 20 inch was going to go MCGowen but now hmmmm
Got in on it for a 308 barrel as my rainier match seems to no longer want to shoot well. Best myself or 3 other shooters could get was about 1.5-2moa with FGMM (168 and 175). So now I hunker down and wait for my new barrel from BHW/CRA/TSA/alphabetcompanysoup.
The 14.5" blackout barrels on true sporting arms are awfully tempting for a supersonics-only upper.... |
Im confused are any of these offerings available in stainless or am I just retarded?
Thanks OP, the wife is going to kill me.
.243 LBC barrel coming. Just because I got tired of having a Maxim 7.62x39 bolt laying in the parts bin. |
And again you guys have cost me money...................truth be told I'll probably regret not spending more as this is a pretty good deal.
I got my 30% off today...
Thanks all, 309 shipped to HI is a great price! 6.5 Creedmoor 20” Light, with fluting... |
I'm regretting telling you guys about this.... it'll probably take an extra couple weeks before my barrel gets shipped.
I bought one, we shall see. I am sorely tempted to buy a second.
I bought 3 to complete 3 of the Mega receiver sets(AR Seeds?) I found in the back of my toolchest. I guess at some point I planned on building 3 Mega Ars, so its happening
I have several Factory Mega barrels, but I heard rumors that Black Hole was actually making these for Mega. Which makes sense, all 3 of my Mega ones are great shooters, and all of the BHW have been as well. |
Looking at their prefits, where's the option to select caliber?
When you choose cerakote as finish option, where are the color options?
The menu where you select all the other options should have 3-4 choices for cerakote.
Sometimes you have to hit the cerakote button twice for it to register a selection |

I'll have to build these out and see how they perform.
If its anything like the other barrels the are a SMOKING DEAL at 100 each!0 |

https://truesportingarmsllc.com
is the blem site. No pencil 5.56 bbls in stock, though. ETA: 30% off knocks 2x 16" pencil mids to less than I could get a single long bbl blank turned, let alone shipping back & forth. Very tempting, OP, thank you. |
Its not their blem site, its their retail production, stock available now, non custom stuff.
They do sell blems every once in a while too. The 3 above are my second order from here in about 3 years, and I do have 11 other barrels from Black Hole/Columbia spanning back at least 10 years |
Great thread, appreciate the info. Giving these barrels a try.
Damn, they waited me out till I couldnt take it anymore. You guys are hard on a wallet.
yeah, ordered one too.................
Have too much stuff layin around that just needs a barrel............................ |
Didn't get a shipping notification so i was pleasantly surprised today when it showed up.
16" 308 11 twist. Got it installed on the MATEN and ready for the range. |
Just finished my 68 project, hopefully the 6.5 CM gets here soon. Ordered a JTAC 80% lower to get things moving forward.
Ugh. Coming up on 2 months, still no barrel. I'm.... anxious. Already bought the scope for the beast.
I ordered a 6.5creed barrel last year, and it took 5 months, they had to find a different cerakote applicator he said, thats why there was a delay

View Quote FWIW I never got a shipping notification just walked outside to go to my car and it was on my doorstep. Apparently delivery drivers in Maryland (save for our letter carrier, he's FANTASTIC) refuse to knock or ring doorbells for some reason. |
