It's an upper I bought from PK Firearms (great company, by the way). Bushmaster Upper (5.56) RRA BCG RRA 5/8" riser YHM BUIS CavArms OD Green hand guards MI aluminum rail (mounted on the bottom of the hand guards) Grip Pod LaRue flashlight mount SureFire Nitrolon flashlight with an LED upgrade. The sling is a Vickers from BFG; the front adapter for the sling is from the Specter CQB sling I had on the rifle before. |

My first rifle, and an AR-15 at that. A S&W M&P 15FT (the legal version for the People's Republic of Massachusetts) with an EOTech 512 holographic sight. Broke it in with 500 rounds of Federal XM193 (not all at once) without a glitch. This rifle is going to be better than me for a long time. Beautiful workmanship and a joy to shoot.
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk62/Make_It_In_Mass/DSC00368.jpg My thanks to all on this site for the information that led me to pick a firearm that is working well for me out of a very crowded universe of products and technology. |

Glad you like the pic man. Its a frame from some 4K footage off of the Red camera. I'm sure the anti's would freak over this pic but I'm sure some of the other ones I have they would have kittens. |

I see a khukri! AR + khukri = hardcore XXX weapon pr0n |

We did some training with the Ghurkas in 1987. I gave one of them a Marine Corps cover and he gave me that khukri. Very good piece of gear. It had a leather strap to attach it to the belt; but it looked kind of flimsy to me, so I sacrificed an old pair of cammie trousers and, using my trusty dusty USMC-issued sewing kit and 100 mph tape, made a cloth cover for the sheath. I put two ALICE clips on it and hung it from my web belt. That woodland cover was on there all these years later, pretty nasty and beat up. I bought some Multicam cloth last year--just to see what it looked like--and about a month ago I put two and two together, and made a new cover for the sheath out of the multicam cloth. Having access to my wife's sewing machine made it a lot easier this time, as well as the fact that the finished product looks better. The one I sewed 20 years ago looked like it was done by a drunk's left foot. The khukri now with the old cover. I used the old one as a pattern for the new one. The sewing on the back. I used my wife's machine (after receiving the proper instruction ) to do all the edges and sew the ALICE/MALICE holder on, then I sewed the cover onto the sheath by hand. New life for an old war horse. I purposely made the ALICE holders wide so I can change it over to MALICE clips whenever I get the chance. The knife is used and worn and it's not pretty anymore (just like me); but it's still sharp and good to go. And, since this is the AR thread--not the khukri thread--here's another pic of the AR. |
