i just got one also, i think its the best trigger ive ever seen, but i think all the mk12 guys are using the kac 2 stage to be authentic. |

Here's my Mk12 Mod1 that I had assembled by GA Precision. I had a Leupy 3-9x36 on it, but put the USO SN4 on after I ended up trading an East Coast SEAL Sniper buddy a USO SN3 for the SN4 he used on his SPR for his last deployment in the Baghdad area. He wanted something with more magnification for the longer ranges he expects to encounter for his deployment to Afghanistan at the end of March. -RRA Upper and Lower -Broughton 5C 1:8 twist barrel -KAC FF RAS -KAC 600m Flip Up Rear Sight -KAC Rail Mounted Flip Up Front Sight -Crane (not LMT) SOPMOD stock -KAC 2 stage trigger -Sierra Precision SPR -Harris Bipod w/ Pod-Loc mounted with ARMS #32 -LaRue SPR Mount -USO SN4 w/ JP Enterprises illuminated Reticle -I've got the AAC M4-2000 mounted for now and the Ops Inc 12th model should be here next week  W/ Doubler mounted  Close(er) up of SN4 and Doubler  Everything is getting coated in OD Duracoat tomorrow and then I'll add some Krylon to give it a camo effect. |
HEADS UP ON THAT TRIGGER!!!! Dude, I have serious issues with my timney trigger, I t double fires every other shot, trust me, i've done everything I could do to make sure i had not made some installation error, the thing is just too damn light of a trigger, and after reset if any amount of pressure is applied on the trigger, even just your finger touching it a second round will go downrange. Speed this all up and you have a nice double burst. Sorry to hi-jack the thread, if you have questions about the trigger go over to the trouble shooting section, and you'll see I'm not the only one with these Timney problems. |
I'm not worried about being authentic, I'm worried about amy 2-3K investment shooting well. I still need to get off my ass and buy that trigger. |
I'll be closing in close to 3k so far on my build. Then add in the Ops Inc can down the line and there is another 1100 with fees and so forth. Little over 4 grand just for one AR.

Nah, he's got 4k in that probably pretty easy, way before ammo or mags.... I see an uppper that will cost at least $1200 if you shop around, a lot more if someone like wes is building it, with an SPR contour match barrel. A lower and stock, nice trigger, never less than $250-$300, probably more like $500 for something like lmt. a D740 or D760 scope, even the lowest grade genII tube will likely run $1500 at the minimum, likely a LOT more. OPS'inc can, $1200 ... That adds up to around $4400 or so, obvoisly a bit less if you shop around.... Sweet rig! |

Come on guys, more pics! I need inspiration and ideas! By the way, does the full-lenth ARMS SWAN sleeve include an ARMS #40 or do you have to buy it seperately?
Got a pic of that set up (or with another scope) with an A2 stock? |
+1 Ammo and mags doesn't go into the cost of building it. SPR's are not cheap to build. |

Oh believe me, I know I have an MSTN built one myself...thanks to some lucky breaks on the EE mine was pretty "cheap." I got a complete upper minue scope for 1,200. A leupold MK4 3.5-10 for 650. Crane stock for about 100. and the lower for less than a 100. |
It's blue painters tape. I started to mask it off, but got sloppy (I was tired) so I stopped until I could do it right. I just never took it off the illumination knob. |
yeah, but it was a sure buy in the EE until the guy sent me pics of his, then i realized i had no way of telling when they introduced the blue band and on what scopes |

Guys, I was SURE about this but I've started to doubt myself... The Ops Inc muzzlebreak is threaded on the OUTSIDE for the Ops 12th Model suppressor, right? That "band" is a thread protector, right? Stand by for pic with B_D's Patented Colored Arrows...  ETA: Pic as promised. The red arrow is the "band" I'm talking about. Thread protector for the suppressor threads, right?

Finally! I have waited 6 months! I am home on R&R, and can't wait any longer. I'll re-finish, and Gun-Kote when I get back in 8 months. And file for my Ops Inc. 12th model then. But I can't let a box of money sit without seeing what it looks like! I spent all day doing it correctly per instructions in manuals, and from JTAC, and ADCO. Used appropriate torque, and various loc-tites, and guages. Not perfect yet, but damn do I love it!      |
OverTime! HA! Don't I wish. Being a Soldier doesn't exactly afford me the oppurtunity at OT. Wow. Could You imagine if they did! With the hours we put in! I'd have an arsenal of toys! LOL With a fixed income, it wasn't easy getting this build done. And it was even harder with the wife around...LOL |
