Son, I am disappoint...9 pages, and not one bullpup. Here's my build, using a stamped 5.45mm with the help of a gent who goes by "BobaDebt". He did the work on the rails, I did the disassembly of the original rifle and putting it all together.

It is a mount I engineered and am bringing to market in the next little while.
It cowitnesses (not absolute) but is still high enough to field strip the gun without having to remove the optic. It also adjusts to be directly over bore on all AK's I have tired so you don't have to worry about shims/grinding. It is also patent-in-progress'd. The top is the RS AKM (AK M-series Aimpoint mount) and bottom is RS AKOG (AK ACOG mount). |

After a few years of slowly modifying my Krebs Custom AK103k to best fit my needs - HD/SHTF and an occassional IDPA carbine match - I have finally got it where I want it. Mods to the base rifle include;
- ACE Internal Block Receiver - ACE Folding Mechanism with integrated AR15 Stock Interface - Magpul CTR on mil-spec tube (shortened and pinned to folding mechanism) - Palm Grip - Tapco Intrafuse lower hand guard - Magpul AFG v.1 - Ultimak - Aimpoint CompC3 in Springfield Armory low ring, Aimpoint Killflash - Surefire M600C Scout Light in Gear mount A few other notes; - Total weight minus magazine is 8 lbs., 14oz. - The pressue switch for the M600C Scout Light is secured with Loctite Plastic Epoxy to the Tapco handguard and I suspect I will need a hammer and chisel if I want/need to remove it. It is well-positioned to activate with the support hand thumb. - Iron sights cowitness through Aimpoint - The rifle handles very well with the new stock and does not feel nose heavy. - With Brown Bear FMJ ammo, the rifle is consistenty sub 3 MOA and has never fumbled a single round in the 4 years I have owned it - As expected with a Krebs Saiga conversion, fit, finish and function are superb. This is without any hesitation my "go-to" rifle. Shown with Hungarian 20 round magazine;

For an Aimpoint, not as much. This is quite right. The EOTech has it's batteries close to the rail, where the Aimpoint doesn't. There is no reason in hell for putting the EOTech on an AK, they were designed for the AR. |
