Just asking for extra eyes the next time you guys go to a pawn store or something. I know the chances of me getting it back are slim and none and that Slim just left town, but...
From the EE stolen firearms thread: Stolen from vehicle in my driveway... Bushmaster AR-15 20" Ban era barrel, carry handle upper, A2 stock, palm swell pistol grip, standard front sight post, set screw marks on end of barrel where brake had been mounted during ban, scope mounted on top of carry handle (yeah I know, lol, waiting for deer season to be over before installing new flat top upper). Curious George sticker on lower receiver. Would really like to have the sticker back... Seriously though, Serial # L235231 No, I don't need any lectures on leaving guns in vehicles or shit like that, already kicked my own ass a few times today along with some ass chewings that only I could deliver. Guess I should be thankful, they left my .308 bolt gun that I have twice as much money in, plus left the 20 round mag that was in the gun case with the AR and the bolt gun. 
Evidently, I'm not the only one, deputy said that someone else on my street reported a firearm stolen from his truck earlier this week... And for those of you who don't know me or haven't already been to my house, this was in Jefferson City, MO Thanks guys |

Most communities in Missouri require the pawn shops to turn over pawn/buy tickets to the cops every week or so. Yes I did, and even though it was late afternoon, the deputy said that he would make sure that he entered it yet that day so the # was in the nationwide system. It took me most of the day to get the serial number and I was trying to do some legwork on my own at the pawn stores and gunshops in the meantime, where incidentally, I got to meet Joker from the MOHTF in person for the first time. After filing the report in the afternoon, I said screw it maybe I'm due a little good luck, grabbed my .308 (that the dumbass didn't take) and went deer hunting. Pics in the MOHTF deer thread... Thanks again everyone. Due to the nature of person that I believe took the rifle, ahem, I doubt that any of you would ever see the rifle, and if you did, hopefully not while in his hands. But I figure the more people who know, the better chance I have. |
