Hey, I just noticed that this forum was here. I thought that I add a review of a product that I heard about on another forum a couple weeks age. First, I have no relationship with this company, I just heard about it and tried it out.
The company is Store More Guns Their web site has all the information about the system. I ordered the 20 gun kit and set it up in my safe. I had to make some small "benches" to raise up some of my short barreled items. Before setting this up, I would dread trying to get guns out of my safe. Particularly the short barreled items. It was almost impossible to do without banging guns into each other. Now it is much easier. Also I felt like I didn't have room for anything else in my safe. Now I have room for at least three more long guns and a couple more short barreled items. They have a system for handguns also that you can see on their site. My kit came with two of the hangers and you can see them in the pictures below. I don't think that I will really use them since I have enough room on the shelf. In any case, I have only had this a couple weeks but I do believe that it is a big improvement and I would recommend it. The only improvement that I would recommend at this time would be for some longer and stronger rods that you could use for shorter rifles and shotguns. Here are the pictures of my safe. Unfortunately, I did not take a before picture.

Looks interesting, but the website isn't very good at explaining how it works.
I see that there is a rod of some sort (metal or plastic?) that you put in the barrel, but after that I don't see any other explanation. Did I miss something on the site that explains it better? Can you explain in more detail how it works? |

The kit I bought came with 20 plastic rods that have a round disc shaped top with Velcro glued to it. It also came with a sheet of Velcro that you staple to the bottom of the shelf. (I would glue it also if I had to do it over). You insert the rod in the barrel, position the rifle or shotgun where you want it and sort of balance it so there is not too much pressure on the rod and then lift the rod up until it sticks to the bottom of the shelf. I have to admit that I was skeptical and the price seemed sort of high but it really made a difference. Since I have only had it a few weeks, I can't comment on the long term durability but for now I am very happy with it.
