As reloaders we all look for a soution that is inexpensive to our shooting hobby, that's why we reload. If your bench is like mine its a complete mess before and after reloading. Yes I know I think I found Hoffa's body.
So I had this idea to get rid of, or at least orginize some of the mess on my bench. I want to start with a simple project, a place for my primer pick up tubes. I went to the local oversized and under staffed hardware store and purchased a 2 foot long by 2" piece of PVC, an end cap and a package of I think conduit straps. The following I already had and you should too. You will need a drill, hacksaw, some 1 1/4" wood screws and for me some washers because the screw heads weren't big enough. This project took me a total of 20 min.

For a grand total of $6.24 
I first cut the PVC pipe in half 
Then I put the end cap on the rough end of the pipe no glue needed, it fits very snug 
I drilled pilot holes for the screws, if you don't know how to do this ask a man 
I took my screws and washers 
And mounted the pipe with the straps to the underside of a shelf. 
Now the primer pick up tubes I can never find will have a place to sleep when Im done loading. 
I will go buy another end cap and hang another piece of PVC for my primer magazine tube or whatever |
Here's my solution to primer tubes, COSteve and dryflash' has similar solutions.jpg) But you have too much clutter IMHO, your PVC tube will solve just a portion of it, can you get another shelf for storage or store the bulk of your stuff somewhere else? I like a relatively clean bench surface, especially when it comes to primer and powder access. I don't like and been preachin' to only have the powder actually in use for the current reloading session as well as the primer type (large pistol vs small pistol vs large rifle vs small rifle) on my bench when I'm cranking out the rounds |

While i'm sure there are limited number of people in the world that could actually do 500+ rounds an hour on the 55b, I wouln't sweat trying to actually do it! Just know that it's alot faster than a turret or single stage press and be happy! -Masta |

I believe Dillon talks about rate. Load 8.5 per minute and you are beating a 500 an hour rate. Doesn't matter that you can't maintain that rate for 60 minutes... |
| I thought about making one of these as well, but not until I amass a nice number of primer tubes though. I wish someone who was good with wood workings would make a rack for all of my various dies. Kinda like a shelf that has the proper sized holes drilled to just drop them in and have the notches for the LNL bushings. maybe one day I will stop being lazy and get a nice dremel and drill to play with. |

I am really suprised that people on these forums don't offer home made products, I understand not offering anything that has to do with actually reloading a round due to insurance/lawsuit reasons. But I am suprised I don't see Offerings for primer tube holders, digital round counters (We've seen a few out there!), tool head holders, etc. I know i'd buy some. I just don't have the time/tools to make alot of the stuff i'd like to have. I am also suprised that no other company or person had some up with cheaper primer tubes, they are SIMPLE, anyone with the right connections/knowledge should be able to get aluminum tube stock cut em down and sell cheaper primer tubes. I know if I knew where to get some i'd do it! -Masta |

Dillon I my opinion makes very good stuff but still a bit over priced. Secondly I'm even more suprized that a reloader's helpful tips post has not been tacked after all these years  . Come on reloaders are people too.

Here is something else I did to actually help me with reloading. A guy where I purchased my press from told me about. These stanley bins for holding your finished bullets. It holds about 4X the amount that dillons hold, so you don't have to empty it as much. I want to set one up also on the side of the bench for holding empties for reloading. The total cost with tax $8.45 for (4) four bins.
