I like the looks of the Nordic Knob better than the ETA bolt handle but they are both basically the same. I think my design (Gun Connection) is more comfortable and functional.
The Nordic bolt handle has certain cool factor to it but is comfortable Ya or nay? GC |

MAX, yours will be the one that I will judge all others to. Nobody has come close to it.
I just got the Nordic this afternoon so I haven't had a chance to do much with it. The size is pretty good, and the texturing is aggressive. It is aluminum and very light. the length is close to yours. |

One thing  it's not aluminum......it's made from 416SS then it is QPQ'd (or Melonite)......very hard. Pretty light, eh? I could see where one might think it's aluminum 
Had'nt seen the other one's you have there, except for 'knob' and of course the factory handle. That knurled one looks good too. I was just thinking today if anyone had gotten their's yet and how they liked it. Looks good on your shotgun......and doesn't make it look fat either!!

I really thought it was aluminum. It is incredibly light.
The more I'm working it, the more I like it. The texture on it is great, and the size is very ergonomic. So far I think it is very nicely done. I'll use it some more in the near future and put my thoughts on it up here. And I never would have guessed that it wasn't aluminum. |

I have been running the NOB (newer style) since 12/08 and I have nothing but excellent results. It has been 110% functional, meets my needs/shooting styles and has held up incredibly well (except for some finish wear which is to be expected). I like the "looks" of the Nordic knob, but I'm not sure that it could ever replace the NOB. The concerns I have with the Nordic knob are whether the surface "knurling"/"texturing" is more functional or just "pretty" in addition to the fact that the Nordic knob is "hollow" with an open end that begs to get plugged up with mud, dirt, crap (skin/flesh/blood) with any hard use, and lastly, if the "hollow" design will lend itself to allowing the knob to become deformed/bent if the shotgun is dropped, banged around, etc. On the last concern, the fact that it is 416 stainless leads me to believe it will stand up to a pretty good beating without any damage, but still a question/concern.
I'll be looking forward to a detailed future report on this new offering, m24shooter! Thanks for the info thus far!! |

Tim Greetings Tim. A year or so ago I purchased your shotgun tube clamp for my 930, but am using it with the stock Choate mag extension - do you forsee any problem with this application? It looks like it was meant to fit your tube extensions, which are thicker than the 930 Choate, but just wanted to be sure I'm good with it for my app. Anyone else running the NC clamp on a stock 930 SPX setup? Also, any chance for an AR15.com Shotgun Forum discount on the 930 Speed Bolt?!?! |

Lots of people are using our clamp (with success) on the thinner steel tubes. SO if it works...it must be good.
I am not in the marketing dept.....not my call for discounts. Sorry Rest assured that our bolt handle is as tough or tougher than any bolt handle on the market......for fit and function....and anything you can throw at it...while not destroying the weapon. Comfort....is an opinion.

So far I like the Nordic bolt knob. I've been on vacation so I haven't gotten enough time to really use it as much as I want to, but from the time I have gotten with it it seems to be a solid option.
The length is pretty good for reaching under or over the receiver, and the diameter of the handle allows for a good grip area. ORD, the cleats could be a little sharper IMO for those shooting with gloves, but they are not bad by any means. I think they're a little more than cosmetic and are functional. How much so may be debatable, but they do provide more grip than a smooth handle. Again the weight is unbelievable. Just like with the NOB, I've been able to pick up the shotgun by just the Nordic bolt handle without it coming out. I'll keep working on it and put it through some tough use. I know there are people that will have concerns with the design being a hollow knob and I've already heard that from some people that have seen it. I would say at this point the Nordic knob is a very good choice for a bolt handle upgrade. I'll keep working with it and post what I find here and elsewhere. So far I like it, and with MAX's NOB not being available I think this one has a lot of merit. |
| Outstanding charging handle. Fits better than the stock piece or The Knob and doesn't come out without significant direct force - I can hold the gun up by the Nordic knob and it stays in. It is better machined as you can see in m24shooter's photos. Incredibly light and an excellent texture with or without gloves that doesn't snag as easily as the stock piece or doorknob. |
