Summary for pages 1 & 2: AR15fan - CompM, LED burned out after 8 years. Bayer - ML2, bad rotary switch. sully3acr - T1 with fogged lens. iiibdsiii - Used M2, shut off under recoil 62 total page 2 50 page 1 4 problems out of 112 sights = 3.6% |

I have a Comp-ML that I bought when the Comp-M2 first came out, when ever that was. I have shot many many many IPSC matches with it in those years. I have had zero problems with it. ETA: I have an M3 2MOA, an M3 4MOA and two M2 Aimpoints. All of these were bought used in excellent condition and they work perfectly. My HD M4 has an M2 which I never turn off. Sold the M3 and bought a T2. Update: Traded for a friends Comp4s a few months back. Still no issues. I currently have a T2 and a Comp M4s Daughter has PRO Son has Comp M2 Bill |

I have a Comp M that I purchased new... probably in 1996 or thereabouts. It worked great for years, but now the dot blinks on and off like there's a loose wire inside. One might be inclined to say "yeah but... 17 years of service..." which is true, but it's been pretty light use, nothing like it would have seen in a military or law enforcement role. I was told it had a lifetime warranty... I will have to see how that works.

LED started to burn out around year 8. Too dim for outdoor use even on brightest setting. I sent it in for warranty when it was 9 years old. Aimpoint did not fix the dim LED and instead claimed they fixed a "dot blinks under recoil" problem. I sent it back, again. They refused to fix it "no longer under warranty." Summary: Good dot sights. They do wear out. Customer support sucks. |

I have owned 3 but currently do not own one. Aimpoint Micro H-1: purchased brand new and didn't turn it off as long as a I had it. Not a single issue Aimpoint ML2: purchased it used and I believe it was from the early 2000's. Not a single issue Aimpoint M2: purchased used, not sure when it was manufactured but it was not the older version. Not a single issue |

LMT is a company with lousy QC. Buy from a company that cares about its products, like Bravo Company or LaRue.
| I have an earlier model that doesn't have the insanely long battery life and stupid bright reticle like the Comp ML3 my wife has. It's still a solid sight that holds zero and always works when I turn it on. I just can't leave it running for five years like the newer ones. |

What I currently own:
(1) T-1: No Issues so far (2,000 rounds) (2) Comp M2's: No issues with these units (bunch of rounds) Previously owned: (1) H-1: No issues (About 1,000 rounds) (6) Comp M2's (No problems except for one I bought off eBay. The 4th bright setting did not turn on, but every other setting worked. Sent it back to seller) (Others had 1,000's through them) (1) Comp M3- No problems (500 rounds or so) (1) Comp ML3- No problems (4,000-5,000 rounds through it) (2) Comp M4's- No problems. (100 rounds through one and the other was BNIB and traded that for the T-1 I have now) I have owned these since mid 2009. I was an Eotech guy and switched around that time and haven't looked back. |

Comp M2, bought around 1999. Had spots in front lens coating. Sight functioned fine, but the spots were annoying. Aimpoint, at the time, was less than helpful. Sold it cheap. I now have a Comp M4s and it has been flawless. ETA: M2 came out in 2000. I was close.  |

I bought a used M2 about 2 years ago. Now it's shutting off under recoil. It is probably 10 years old and mil issued. Bought it on Ebay. It's on my other AR now, the one I don't use for HD. I should probably call Aimpoint.
I put a T1 on my SBR/HD setup. It has functioned fine. |
