This one is for an article I'm writing.  Took it to compare sight pictures at different ranges

Im pretty sure I have posted this here a few times before (in the HK Armory section), but not in the reticle picture thread.

TA47-4 Compact ACOG 2x Amber crosshair

The bed of my truck is approx 25 meters from where I took the picture.  My shitty camera skills make it look a tad farther than it does in person.

IF YOU HAVE A RETICLE THAT HASN'T BEEN POSTED, OR IF YOU HAVE A BETTER PIC THAN WHAT I HAVE, POST AWAY.

I will eventually grab all the pics from this thread and add them to the archive. Thanks for helping out.

Thank you for making an updated thread Zhukov!

I know w have all seen EO Tech recticle pics, and there are even a few on here, but I am posting them as a demostration of paralax, or rather, being paralax free.

First pic is of my high-tech optic mounting system for this demonstration (i.e. sitting on a jar and shimmed for angle)

Next, a view of the target area.  For this test, I will aim at the center of my deadbolt through the center of the optic window:

See?:

Now, without touching the optic or mount, I moved my head and camera to get pics from different angles, looking at the target through different parts of the the window.  Top left corner:

...and bottom right corner:

There.  That should a be a decent demonstration.  Have a good day.

The picture below is in the Leupold section of the ReticlePictures page.  It's listed as a mildot when in fact it's a TMR.  Same with the illuminated version.

I posted this before to illustrate the FOV difference between a Leupold Mk4 3-10X42 and US Optics SN3 1.8-10X44

On the left is the Mk4, on the right is the SN3

Oh and here's one from S&B Short Dot.

Figured I'd take some pics of my Leupold CQT. They are quite rare, and guys having nice camera equiptment and a CQT is not as common so what the heck

Got pics of it non illuminated at 1x and 3x, and illuminated at 1x and 3x.

I'll try and get some reticle pics taken at a better range, this is at about 2 yards or so, or right inside a room.

Do y'all have any suggestions for taking decent pics of ACOG reticles?  I have been unsuccessfully attempting to get some of the 11J crosshair.  Unfortunately, I only have a fairly basic digicam versus a DSLR.

I tried to use my nice camera (Canon SLR) to take scope view pics, and found it's actually easier to use my cheaper Canon PowerShot to do it.

Zhukov,

I could crop these if you want so you jsut see the FOV through the scope it would give a little better definition to the reticle as well. Or maybe just one

Let me know,
