Yeah... me too. They're impossible to find, at least at a reasonable price. Combat Military Optics sells them under the name "Elite" and "Elite IR". They say they're in stock now, but they're fairly expensive... from $299 (non-illuminated) to $368 depending on which mount you choose. WebArms lists them on their website, but shows currently NOT available. The one you're interested in is listed at only $188. They seem to be a nice group of folks, who have answered my "any Hakko yet" questions every single time. They said Hakko is the one holding up progress. Their last shipment was due in September but didn't arrive until December. This next shipment was due in March, but still not in as of today. If you find them anywhere, do let us know (after you order yours of course  ) Good luck. |

I did buy a couple of the C-Mores from Brian, just cuz they were decent scope at a reasonable price, and you can buy from Brian in confidence. Allows me to remove my Aimpoints and install the C-Mores for load development purposes, and fun plinking. The mount is too low, needs a 3/8" riser to put it in the correct spot, the windage knob does not have audible clicks, in fact you can't feel them at all. The elevation index works backwards. The mount is kinda cheesie, looks like a B-Square product. The darn thing is heavy too, weighs over a pound (think they have 11 lenses). Unlike the standard Hakko product the C-More has the optional external windage adjustments, and the standard BDC, both handy dandy items. |

How do these compare to the Colt 4x20? How tough is it? At one pound I would hope it is very solid. Certainly tougher than the Leapers scope, right? Are the optics pretty clear and bright? Would you trust it on a general purpose carbine? OT: That small variable made by Hakko also looks nice. (MPSSZ-1652) 1.6-5x. less than half the weight, about 3/4 of an inch shorter. Just no AR mount built in. If these Hakko products are of decent quality I think I'll get one. -GH |

The Hakko 4x21 is an improvement over the older Colt's 4x20. In 1997 Colt's introduced a new 4x21 scope, and sold these with thier logo on em. This Colt's 4x21 is the same basic scope pictured above with the C-More logo on it, a Hakko COL-4211 4x21. If you go here and check out the Colt M16 special you will see the Colt's scope, logo and all: www.hakko-japan.co.jp/optical/. Far as how tough the Hakko is, or how good the clarity is? Well, I don't have any way to measure that, but the optics are not as sharp as the Elcan I use to have. Brian claims that they have passed some sort of drop test, but he also says they are made in the US, so who knows if that is true. Also not sure why they have eleven lenses, but that does explain the weight. I would defiantly not compare these scopes to a made in China cheapo scope like the Leapers. Beeman also used to carry the Hakko SS-1 and SS-2 with thier logo on them. You can see these at the same site under the name Super Accura. |
