They are the same as far as blowback with the cans.
All the gas exits out the front on the piston, hence the black FSP and balck handguards/rails On a DI, the gun is cleaner over all (on the outside) I once had a hard on for the pitstons but now I will be happy with just a DI gun. |

Here's an updated picture of the M6A3.
About the magwell grip...I'm just exploring my options. I don't see myself using it very much, so it'll be coming off. It does a great job of covering the serial number for taking pictures, though. Mag lock and 10 round mag are installed. -Ed |

I almost pulled the trigger on a MRE 12.7 A3 but got the PSD instead..I have a few 10.5"'s and a LMT 12" piston so that's why i went with the 8".. |
M6a2 a couple of weeks from being a year old. Has eaten every thing I have fed it except some of that Hotshot ss109. And it was the rounds, when they would get chambered the bullet would get pushed back into the case. It happened seven or eight times out of the 100 rds I bought. Causing a mis feed. No other issues. It is a great rifle.

+1 I've been on the fence about buying the dark earth one of my Tan E3..at this point the only drawback to me is the weight.. |
| Only taken it to the paper range, but so far I am very pleased with the puchase. The glass is crystal clear, the red dot is crisp... It seems that most of the complaints about the SpecterDR revolve around the ARMS mount and losing zero. Well I managed to drop the rifle after zero'ing it right on the optic. Not too happy about it, but guess it will be a good test to see if it changed the POI . It is heavy, as everything is on my bertha of an A3, so if you are worried about weight I would say that is the biggest draw back. |
