Impact Weapons Components, LLC is proud to announce our latest product... The "2 To 1 Point Triglide" for slings made with 1" webbing.
The 2 To 1 Point Triglide allows you to rapidly convert your new or existing Two Point Sling into a One Point Sling, on the run, when extra maneuverability is required and then back to a Two Point for extra stability or when carrying the weapon. The 2 To 1 Point Triglide allows you to leverage the best of both sling types. No longer are you required to purchase a specialized, purpose built convertible sling, which use d-rings and noisy, rattly hooks or special clips to enjoy the benefits of a convertible Two Point and One Point Slings. With IWC's PATENT PENDING "2 To 1 Point Triglide", you can use the sling you already own and love and transform it into a convertible sling so many training regimens promote as the optimum convertible sling system.
The "2 To 1 Point Triglide" is specifically designed to function with ANY Push Button Quick Detach Sling Swivel, the most popular, strongest and quietest method of attaching a quick release sling to your firearm. In order to understand why IWC designed the 2 To 1 Point Triglide, it’s important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the various types of slings on the market. A One Point Sling is so called because it only attaches to the rifle at a single point, at the rear of the lower receiver using an end plate. The One Point Sling has the advantage of allowing the rifle to transition quickly and easily to either the strong or weak side shoulder with no adjustments. They also tend to allow the operator to move to any shooting position without adjustment (like standing to prone). The main weakness of the One Point Sling is that it allows the muzzle to swing like a pendulum if the user has to take their hands off of it. Two Point Slings attach to the rifle at 2 points; one at the front of the rifle and one at the rear. As dynamic as a properly configured Two Point Sling can be, it still can’t match a One Point Sling for maneuverability. The 2 To 1 Point Tri-Glide allows you to reconfigure your sling as a One Point or Two Point on the fly to deal with the specific situation you’re facing, using the sling that you already own. Thanks! | Our 2 to 1 Point Tri-Glide arrived today for testing! Our initial impressions are WOW! Small, light, machining is perfect, all edges are rounded and smooth, and the finish and laser engraving is also perfect! Impact Weapons Components has managed to continue to produce no nonsense products that function extremely well! The 2 to 1 Point Tri-Glide has alot to offer for those who like the simplicity of a single point sling but also appreciate what a two point sling offers. By using the 2 to 1 Point Tri-Glide it gives the best of both slings in a simple, affordable package. Great job Earl! i will get some photos posted soon. |

I need to place an order anyway, so now I'll include one of these for testing. Without having it in hand, it looks like the perfect solution. Well Done!
HOWEVER, I won't be buying in quantity for all my slings until the 1.25" (1 and 1/4" if you prefer) version is available, because all my slings are now 1.25" BFG VCAS slings except for a couple of GI slings I keep as spares. So, get that 1.25" version going!!! FluxPrism |

Get out of my mind IWC! I've been trying to figure out how to do this for a few months. Definitely looks like it will work great. since you don't say I'm guessing this is not rotation limited. Have you tested that idea? My armchair quarterbacking says that an anti-rotation set up would be better but that's just a WAG. I'm with the 1 1/4" crowd so get crackin'. |

I asked Earl about this a while back and he said they found it worked best not limited. I trust his judgment! |

Hey guys, what inexpensive but good 2 point sling would you go with for this setup with the Triglide? I'm trying to be cost conscious. Thanks. I'm personally fond of the Boonie Packer 2P-TQA ($16 shipped, plus the cost of your QDs or HK hooks), but there are a lot of choices out there. |

"•SPEND LESS MONEY: Compare to $50.00 or more for a new convertible type sling, like the MS2™. "
I don't see this as a real money saver. You still need to buy a quality sling to attach this component to. Plus it has been my experience (bear in mind, my experience) that these push button type of quick disconnects can sometimes be difficult to manipulate with gloves on. |

Plus it has been my experience (bear in mind, my experience) that these push button type of quick disconnects can sometimes be difficult to manipulate with gloves on. Here's the math behind the "Spend Less Money" statement: if you have a 2 point now and want a convertible sling, you'd have to buy a dedicated convertible for around $50. Or, buy our QD Triglide for $23.90 and convert your existing sling. More high-end full rail rifles (LMT MRP, LaRue OBR, KAC) and new drop in quad rails have QD Swivel sockets machined into them. QD's are the strongest and quietest type of sling connector. Our Pat Pend 221 Triglide was designed for a specific purpose... Two Point QD Swivel sling users can now transform their sling into a convertible 1 point using QD Swivels. We're the first and only ones to offer a product with this functionality. If you use HK or MASH Hooks, our triglide accommodates these as well. Hope this helps explain our rationale and position statement. MOUNT-N-SLOT |

I already have a Magpul sling and don't see how this would benefit use of that, however, I could use another and do have forward QD mounts built into my LMT MRP/MWS rails and this does seem very efficient. Two questions:
1) What new sling would be ideal for this application and is generally recommended? 2) Is there such a thing as a fixed position push button swivel or would I have to rig it? I could use the fixed position as a forward attachment point with my magpul sling and don't want to have it slapping around. |

Here's a great review of Impact Weapons Components new "2 To 1 Point Triglide" by convertible sling pioneer Military Morons, creators of the Emdom Gunslinger Convertible Sling. Thanks guys!
