Bison Armory 6.8 SPC 16" RECON upper and YHM lower.
Specs of the upper. Anything you would like to ask, just let me know and I will try my best to reply. Um I ran out of cash, so it hasn't been shot yet. Total cost of the upper was $892.00 to my door. Thanks... I was thinking about going with a 1-4 as well, but I couldn't beat the price I got the Elite 6500 1-8x32 for about $480. At the time it was just $30 more then the Elite 4200 1-4, now I see they have the 1-4 on sale for around $350... I think if I seen that price, I would have gone with the Bushnell 1-4 instead. All in all I am very happy with the scope. The only thing I wish it didn't have is so much eye relief, the 6500 has a long 6" relief (and it wants that 6", no more, no less), but that's ok. I might just have to go with the LuRue SPR-E mount, I'll figure out for sure when the cash comes in for the mount.

While I believe that it will be adequate for now, I will be seeking some LaRue products ASAP. You cover most of the range of my scope plus most of what I'd have in the second scope but I'm ok with that. My idea behind the 1-4x was Three-Gun comp. What trigger did you get? I have a stock RRA in my but it was worked over by Bill Springfield, I think it's gonna be the cat's ass!! |

Really I don't think I have much of a choice on the mount, because of the scope needing to be forward of the rear sight and me not wanting to add the front of the scope on the rail, the "E" is the best way to go I think (I will call LaRue and ask them) The trigger is what ever YHM has installed (the lower was bought almost complete, I just had to add the stock/tube), single stage, I also was thinking about getting work done by Springfeild, but I would just buy another and have the work done then install that one. The trigger work can hold off for now, I am happy on how this trigger is, not bad at all for a stock trigger... But I still haven't taken a shot, so that thought could change in time. |
