Let's see some more actual Mk12 clones........
good stuff Muskyjerk! |
Everytime I see that photo, I always think that's the best looking one. IMHO. |
Oh thank goodness... I'm so relieved to see I'm not the only person who lays out the whole thing in excel like this. |
If you're married, don't let the wife see that Excel spreadsheet! |

Some shots of my Mk12 Mod0'ish build. Most of the parts for the upper came from Jason at JTAC Supply. Most of these pictures have been posted before.

Very nice rifle!! That terrain looks familiar. Were you out evaluating loads or popping jack rabbits? Gunner45 |
Thank you. I do love the mountains out here. I was just out enjoying the morning, no better way to start the day than by squeezing off a couple hundred rounds before most folks are out of bed. |
Exactly. Thank You...Guns & Ammo, Book of the Ar-15! |

I thought the OPS flash hider was not supposed to exist How well does she work? |
basically it's the same design as an a2 flash suppressor w/ closed bottom and 5 ports. It works just as well. It's not a vortex or anything but it's not bad at all. |
Beautiful rifles guys... Damn, I think my BRD is about to flare up again...
If you don't mind me asking. How much did the upper from MSTN cost.I'm looking into purchasing a precision rifle and the mk12 mod1 looks really good. Thanks, Andy |

Roger that. Ever tried it with a can? I've always wondered if maybe the proprietary muzzle break plays a role in the can's design (diverting gas back into the expansion chamber). |
hey kemp, no that's the only thing i have troubles getting ahold of is the 12th model can. Everyone says the brake acts like the first baffle in the whole system, i wanted to see if it was true as well.
It would make for an interesting experiment. I figured that OPS wasn't interested in flash hider mounts because they would compromise the effectiveness of the can. I don't see any other reason why they wouldn't want to produce flash hider mounts.. |
Just fire with the with the ops brake installed. Most of the noise and concussion is vented to the sides. |
i heard through the rumor pipeline a flash hider was requested by the army. But who know's if thats true or not.
What model can is that? It doesn't seem to use the collar. |
I need to know what kind of Dewey rod goes into that case for the Mk12!!
Any clue muskyjerk? |
My SPR Mod 0 is coming...I just need a trigger now. What are you guys using?
Chip Mcormick is one of the best I have felt. Better than a RRA 2 stage. |
This is the trigger to get. I used one today for the first time and was amazed by the trigger pull. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it in an SPR. |
Hey Steve, When's Bill coming out with the non-adjustable two stage? $150? |
