Look forward to hearing the verification. I'm doing research at maybe getting into the 6.8 game and so far I think Ko-tonics is the only one with the ver. II chamber. If RRA can get it out at their price that will be a real winner. Even better if chrome lined was an option too.

If they make it I would buy.... I'm thinking of building my own up right now but it would suit me better to buy a complete rifle they way I want it. |

I've confirmed my belief with both RRA Engineering and Wilson Arms (our barrel maker). We ARE, and have been since we started running 6.8 SPCs, using the 6.8 Rem SPC SAAMI II chamber in all of our 6.8 bbls. I didn't think I was wrong, but didn't want to say it with certainty until I had REconfirmed it. Steve/RRA |
When can we see the product? After SHOT? Spring? IMO, we need another AR 6.8 upper mfg and cannot wait for RRA's to be shipped. Oh, BTW, what is the muzzle threading? Or has this been asked already and my search-fu is weak? 01/04/08 ETA: Went to RRA website and saw that muzzle threading is 5/8 - 24 thread. DOH! I hate when everyone finds out I don't read instuctions! |
Thanks for getting back with us Steve. That's great news, seems very few makers have the enhanced chamber. 6.8 aficionados will appreciate that. RRA really probably outta advertise that fact so people curious in buying one will know the extra benefits. BTW hate to whine but is there a chance RRA will offer Chrome lining soon too?

Bill, They've been shipping since last spring. Mike, It will actually be in the specs inthe next catalog and in the concurrent web revision). Chrome lined bbls will probably be later this year, along with a few other surprises. If you've been following the LAR-8 saga, you'll recognize that we've learned quite a bit, and you won't be seeing dates or anything else from us until the product is actually ready to go. Thanks.
