Thanks for the update!
We'll keep this as a permanent tack. This war will be lasting quite a long time. Names should be posted and I will update the first post as new members are reported as being deployed. |

MrRaley just left.
He just got back from 1 year on Korea, signed into his new unit, and went wheels up. All of you take care. |
|
In the last 12 months I've been there twice. Going back again in a month or so.

Quoted: Thanks for your service. What branch are you in? How long will you be gone this time? Let me know before you leave so I can add you to the list. View Quote USAF. I'm lucky - now my unit deploys for only 75 days at a time. Then we get 3-4 months at home before we go back. Last year I was over A-stan for a total of 6 months. Unless something happens in Iraq this year should be better. I'll try to let you know before I leave again. |
|
USAF.. I'll be heading out again for the second time also.. Only 3 months this time if the Iraq issue doesn't flare..

These guys need to hear from us all! How about posting some mailing information when it comes available. Letters from home mean so much when you're in the field! Let's show our support!

View Quote No one, as of yet, has given out any contact info. It would be nice to receive a few care packages from fellow ARFCOMmers. If I get any addresses I'll advise. |
|
Just got the call. Report to the Armory Tuesday AM, should be at Mob station by Friday. After that....?
|
|
Looks like a few more names are going to be added to the list REAL soon. Most likely I won't be in the sand so I'm not going to post my address. Please do send care packages to those overseas, it really helps morale to get a nice box of goodies from home!

When and where is my unit going?
It depends on which supplementally revised amended modification change addendum rumor you heard last. Sittin' and waitin' for the shoe to drop. |

While not blood, my son has went wheels up.

A good friend of mine and member here, Vacquero, is currently deployed overseas. He's been deployed since ~November and appears to be okay. I'm hesitant to post his contact info as I'm not sure what effect that has on OPSEC (his deployment area is included in address). I send him care packages every week or so, though, so any kind words or ideas of things to send are appreciated.

I only know a few people from these forums in real life, however I've got many friends over there and in other places now, but to those from this board and not from this board who are going and who have gone, thanks. We'll keep the home fires burning.

I just came back from over there, due to my wife being in the hospital. It was nothing life-threatening, but my Commander and First Shirt thought it would be best if I returned to get her fixed up. When she gets back to normal, I will throw my hat in the ring again.
I was gone for a little over a month. I can tell you all that it is "no-joke" over there. I think the best chem-refresher I have ever attended was there, go figure. I did get to spend some time with my brother over there, he was at a camp to the south of mine. This was not the way I wanted to come home, but to make sure my wife is better, I'll take it. Besides, there's a lot more of the game to play! I'll get my turn again. Thanks for everyone thinking of us, It REALLY does mean a lot. Blue Suiter out |

Well, here I am celebrating a month and a half on active duty. I'm one of the lucky ones, who has a laptop computer with an internet connection in the barracks.
That's beside the point. Just wanted to add that my girlfriend, not a member of this board, just shipped off to Air Force basic training. She decided the best way she could contribute right now was to lend her skills to the USAF for the duration. Semper Fi |

Just a hello to everybody, almost 2 months of active duty. Looks like will stay stateside, here at Ft carson. Prayers to everyone in or going to the sandbox. Stay safe!!

Second, Please include my name Thunder25, as I'm currently serving within the Balkans. Third, God Bless America!!! Thunder25, Out. |

I was supposed to leave for Iraq next week. "Wheels Up" has been delayed one more week due to equipment being delayed enroute to port.
Hopefully I can get to a PC once in a great while to check out this awesome site. I've only been a member here for a week or two. I wish I would have discovered this great site years ago! Best regards, Brent |
|
You can take my name off the list! Got back home yesterday. Can't describe how great it is to be back. My wife, who is 8 months pregnant, is glad to have me home.
Need to unpack my bags. Ya'll take care! |
|
Great to have you home. You men did an excellent job over there. Well done! Thanks for your service.
