In before the poster(s) that has/have never handled much less shot an AR pistol tells you how useless they are without a stock.
Nice blaster kid! |

Which model Eotech is that? Its the 512 with a GG&G quick disconnect and lens covers. |

I built this before I left but I had a whole year to think about it and I decided to put the Eotech on it and change the Vortec flash hider to a PWS compensator. Started using 20rd PMAGS to cut down the weight. I think it looks better with the shorter mag. http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q295/Stylensky/DSCN1134.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q295/Stylensky/DSCN1135.jpg Nice. That sure would be sweet in 6.8 SPC or .338 Spectre. Where did you find the Pistol receiver extension and buffer? |

AR Pistol = Wanna be SBR
But I will say, add a Magpul butt stock and that thing would be damn sexy! |
|
I'm sure that PWS Comp makes it "fun" to be standing nearby when you touch off some M193 Ball from that blaster

I've never shot one - can you post a video of someone shooting one well? Not saying they can or can't be - I've just never seen someone shoot one well and I've never shot one myself... |

By "well" you mean shreading a bad guy in your house? Yes, pics would be cool. I'd like one of these on a single point under my raincoat; looks perfect for anything inside 100 yards. Very nice weapon. |

I had to put a longer spring tube on mine to grt rid of bolt bounce. Now she runs 100%.

Just don't put a VFG on it If I want to own one in MD that is exactly what I have to do - after the BATF approves the lower as an AOW. |

It uses a 1911 pistol spring and a very small buffer. |

Another inquiring mind here... |
|
Serious question; what the options and/or preferred method of holding an AR pistol? Can you even hold it like a regular pistol? |

I had already planned on making a video. I'll have it up on Youtube within the week. Its raining today so I have to wait. |

I'm usually not impressed with AR pistols and I don't see the fascination....I do like that one though. |

Serious question; what the options and/or preferred method of holding an AR pistol? Can you even hold it like a regular pistol? Yes you can hold it like a regular pistol but it weighs 6 lbs( loaded). When target shooting with it I hold the magwell/mag with my left hand and sometimes even touch the buffer to my cheek. Its no tack driver by any stretch of the imagination but it does hit what I'm aiming at and can easily shred a silhouette target at 50 meters. For fun time I just fire it from the hip and enjoy the fireballs. |

AR Pistol - SBR minus .gov lists.
I like the idea more and more. |
|
I'd love to have one (and have the lowers sitting around to build one from), but the one time I tried, I found a problem:
-I absolutely would want a short buffer tube like pictured - if I'm going to use a long buffer tube, it seems to defeat the purpose, but.... -Second, the short buffer I tried (cheap short tube, looked much like a GSE, was bought off the EE at closeout prices from I-remember-not-where) gave me horrible bolt-bounce issues. Mine used a 1911 spring, a carrier insert weight, and a spring guide rod. It simply wasn't heavy enough to deal with bolt bounce. So...how DO you get the short-tube setup to work reliably? |

I'd put a stock on it if I had one of them. In addition to your non sun damaged women, this is another good thing about Canada... |

Very nice weapon. Not my kind of thing, but very nice indeed.
What kind of holster do you use for something like that ? |
