I am pretty happy with the results.
I picked up a new Remington 5R milspec rifle as a backup... didnt like the silver barrel look.

My primary is getting sent off to GAP or someone, to get bedded into a McMillan A3, trued, rebarrelled, and install a DM-5. I will move the base/rings/Leupy off the primary to the 5R while it is gone for 6 months to a year getting the work done. If I am in love with the 5R by the time it gets back, I might invest in new glass for the primary. |

Honestly - this is a total slop job.
I just masked off the chamber and trigger areas, and picked up two cans of Krylon Camo at WalMart. One Khaki and one Olive. Wiped the rifle down in acetone, then did the whole rifle in Khaki, and then wrapped it with drywall mesh, and cut a pine branch off a neighbors tree. Start to finish was like an hour. I'm just gonna ding it all up in the field, so I didnt spend a lot of time trying to get anything perfect. Besides, random makes a better breakup pattern anyway I think. |

I always find it funny all the safe queens duracoated, and most HSLD guys weapons Kyrlon'd...just my observation. |

It really stands out because you dont see them here. |

Either way camo isn't supposed to make things invisible, just harder to identify. From a distance it wont look like a rifle if the person that sees it isn't looking for one or doesn't know what it is. |

I did the base coat, then wrapped the rifle in drywall mesh, then used pine needles, layed them up close, and gave the olive a quick spray, rotating the needles as I went around the weapon. |
