I did a 9 day canoe trip on that lake in Boy Scouts. What a great lake and beautiful area. Thank you for the pictures and memories!

Great pics.
I was just up on Maine for a wedding 2 weekends ago - I froze my butt off. Beautiful land up in that region, too bad the winter is so long. |

It's amazing, I'm a native Mainer, have been vacationing in one place or another up there my entire life, but have never been to Moosehead … will have to really make an effort to get there one of these Summers, it's beautiful … thanks for posting.

This is the first time I'd been in that area in 30 years. I was fortunate to have an old flame show me around. She's been there for about 12 years or so and knew all the cool little spots off the beaten path. We had a very memorable 5 days.

I see that they stopped making the OFF with 100% Deet..........the 30% stuff they sell now does nothing against the Moose Flies. I think they rather like the stuff. |

Back in 1985 the boy scout troop I was in went there when the Maine High Adventure was at Seboomook. Man, that is beautiful country.

Wow! I was out of state when you posted this and missed it. (next time IM me a link!)
I took my camera up there to a friends camp on beaver cove on a snowmobiling trip last winter. I got up there and took one picture and the batteries died. I kept forgetting to pick them up at Indian Hill and never did. I was pretty ticked at all the pictures I would have liked to take. We spent 4 days, rode everywhere. millinocket, brownville, northeast carry and seboomook, all over, one of the best times I've ever had up there, and I've never had a bad time at camp. |
