The only reason I would say no is that it's illegal and you might get in trouble. But I tried it once, for the same reasons as you - I wanted to see what the effects were so that I could form a more informed opinion about it. Now knowing the effects, I believe that there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't do it if you feel like it, except that you are taking a chance getting in trouble. The stuff is no worse than alcohol, and in fact I'd say it's better.

People who believe that marijuana should stay illegal have the exact same mentality as those who pushed for prohibition, the reasons for both are the same, and the harm caused by the illegality are the same. Either alcohol should be made illegal again, or marijuana should be made legal. Anything in between is based purely on lies and double standards.

No. It's still illegal - whether or not it should be illegal is a different set of issues, but for the time being it's not. The excuse (not talking about the OP) that "well it should be legalized" does not make it ok. A corollary would be that since we all think that the NFA laws are retarded that it should be acceptable to not go through the proper process to possess an SBR or an MG - bad idea.

And on top of all that, you're not missing anything anyway.

I used to smoke weed, in particular skunk, but gave up a long itme ago. I'm not sorry that I experienced it, and I never found it debilitating. However what I disliked about it (and the reason I stopped) is it makes it OK to be bored, and quite honestly, life's too short for that. Now if I'm bored, I get up and do something, instead of sitting around and accepting it.
