[ARCHIVED THREAD] - "Ask an Expert" forum

Not long ago Swingset posted an "ask an expert" thread that ran for several pages.

I think a forum where members from varied professions could answer questions pertaining to their particular field of expertise would be very popular. Of course there would have to be disclaimers posted as regards matters of a legal nature, but overall I think it would get a lot of support from the members of Arfcom.

I am an automotive service manager. I would be glad to provide insight on vehicle maintenance and repairs, as well as answer questions on how to deal with repair shops when their visit didn't quite meet their expectations for whatever reason.

Anyway, just a suggestion.

As I stated in the DIY forum, I'm the owner of a Plumbing, Pump and Electrical service company. I've had my master plumbers license for over 15 years and my brother is a licensed electrical contractor for that same amount of time. I have a journeyman's electrical license and we service 3 major home warranty service companies. We do this stuff everyday. I've also built a few houses over the years.

Ask away.
