Sratch that: Any ideas for making a legit case? Where would one be able to find a case that could be ghetto rigged into one?
I found out that our best bet would be for one of us to find a deep metal shadow box. ETA: Just looked, they'd cost about $500. Our best bet would be a deep wood shadow box, you could likely find them at hobby lobby and then go over the frame with primer, and paint it a fire engine red. For the glass, I think most ACE hardware stores can etch it. |

I wouldnt mind making it but to make a clear flat sheet looks to cost quite a bit. The sugar glass route would be nice but it looks awful.IE bubbles, wavy uneven surface, brown tint. if anyones got a link to either a 40"x15" piece or a 12x12 piece for around 50 to 80 bucks please IM me. Its that price range cuz thats all i can spare for the project. |

After searching around some, I found out that they have fire house cabinets that are like 35.5"x35.5"x8.5". |

Okay here is my first submission. I threw this together quickly with scraps I had in the basement. A shitty piece of plywood, an old beat up piece of plexie glass left over from the last window I fixed, some old molding, a rattle can paint job, two old spring airsoft guns (also rattle canned), a pineapple grenade paper weight and an empty box of Speer Gold Dot. I printed out the wording from my computer. The next one will be much nicer. |

you can also use some sort of chemical to etch the glass yourself. A buddy had to do it for a HS class, so it cant be too expensive or too difficult. Skip the hydroflouric acid and get yourself a spray can of window frosting from the Home Depot. Stencil away! |
