Heading to Savannah on Saturday. Please recommend a good restaurant and maybe a few touristy sites!

I wouldn't leave Savannah without having some Vinnie's pizza.

Ruth Chris for a good steak.

I've lived in Savannah all my life and still enjoy Forsyth park, beautiful place. The fountain is probably still green from St.
Patrick's day.

Really good food. Not quite fine dining. Gotta have some atmosphere. Don't really care what it costs. A place worth remembering.

I've had a lot of fried shrimp.........and B&J's is at the top of my list.

Ruth Chris is ok, a steak house
Pirates House is excellent and great sea food and history

There are lots of tours available, the last time I was there I did the hearse haunted tour
Also there are several Civil War area forts that are pretty cool
Saint Patty day is over now and River St. may be dead, but there are some good restaurants there
Go check out Market Square.

Great hotel is the Desoto (by Hilton). Not on the river but a nice hotel and not far from DT, the river and old Savannah. I would say avoid the Hyatt on the river, the hotel is convenient and looks nice but the rooms are just "OK" for what you pay for the rooms. There is a really nice up scale hotel next to it with a bar on the roof, but I can not think of the name right now, but it is nest to the Hyatt and across the street from Ruth Chris.
