At 7:15 pm they flashed on the screen " At 11 Loophole found in the new gun laws " Wonder what they are talking about ?
|
|
Why do people assume the other side doesn't have at least a few gun grabbing people knowledgeable about the new laws and firearms?
If they are talking about prebans, the law (53-202m) has been on the books since roughly 2001 or so. They even updated it when they passed SB 1094. So its not like the gun grabbers don't know about it. |

Nothing would be left on the table, not a crumb. |

i know for a fact there are moles in the CCDL facebook group.
there is someone on there that leaked the info about "Starbucks Appreciation Day" i got bored one night and look thru everyone suspicious account (sorry - women and people with equal sign profiles ARE allowed to enjoy firearms, but it does raise a flag). there's a couple people that not only "like" Barack Obama, but Michelle Obama, the Toyota Prius, NPR, The United Nations, Planned Parenthood, and other screaming liberal things. i doubt they like guns, honestly. you're allowed one accidental "like" from the above. two = you're caught out. anyways, if they know how to infiltrate the FB group, they definitely know about this site considering how much people reference AR15.com in the comments on that group. |
|
This forum is wide open and searchable via google. Nothing hidden here. Actually anything one posts to the internet should be considered view-able by everyone no matter what "security" in place to lock out undesirables. Much as there are anti gunners on CCDL, there are pro gunners on CAGV.
If its really the preban stuff I'll LOL. The law's been on the books since 2001 and they're getting fake outraged over it now?
|
|
Moles? Haha... There is at least one likely federal agent(non essential though... hint hint) on CCDL's FB site and at least 2 or 3 other paid sock puppets probably from the state.
It's nothing new though. In the olden days if you wanted to get to know all of the federal agents in your area all you had to do was join the local "militia". |
| What the hell is up with the CCDL guy blabbing on the news about this? We don't need to rub anything in. Also the reporter stated "my source purchased 37 of these..." Then they showed a wall full of rifles that sure looked a lot like BMG's wall. It may seem like he was blabbing too if that was indeed his store. Last but not least could some one please make me understand this whole 10 round mag in prebans thing?? |
|
The FOX 61 segment is a perfect way to sell guns. Considering BMGs reputation, I bet there will be 37 prebans on the walls forsale at 10K.
Quoted:
haven't they been doing that for years? just now going hard core into it? Quoted:

Whole lot of derp in the opinion piece masquerading as a new article.
http://foxct.com/2013/10/18/possible-loophole-in-ct-gun-law/ “It’s my understanding that the Connecticut State Legislature may have overlooked pre-existing, pre-ban types of rifles that were grandfathered in prior to the 1994 assault weapon ban,” Defense League President Scott Wilson said.
“It’s my understanding that the Connecticut State Legislature may have overlooked pre-existing, pre-ban types of rifles that were grandfathered in prior to the 1994 assault weapon ban,” Defense League President Scott Wilson said.
What the fuck was Scott Wilson thinking by giving this statement?
Feel free to leave a comment to that opinion piece. Quoted:
Last but not least could some one please make me understand this whole 10 round mag in prebans thing?? It is the ignorance of the opinion writer making that statement. In reality post 4/4/13 anyone selling a preban (or any firearm) who includes a magazine cannot sell a magazine holding more than 10 rounds. |

Hopefully that quote was out of context and said in regards to PA 13-220, specifically how/why 53- 202m was fixed. Still, it is best to not call attention to it Edit: read the article, wtf?

I am debating wether to register my pre-bans anyway. If they move to confiscate I plan to move them out of state anyway. If I register pre-bans, in addition to my newer stuff and the 80%s I made, then it potentially can save a hassle down the road.
The only good thing if they ban pre-ban lowers is to see BMG get stuck with them. That guy is the biggest asshole. I would not buy anything from him. If pre-bans were a dollar I would not give him my dollar. He also is a real jackass. All these people need to keep their mouths shut. |

This will not bode well for us . . . . . For the short term, maybe. In the long run, it might. Think about it - if they DO ban prebans, then they've actually banned an entire class of weapons which, according to the Heller case (IIRC) would be illegal for them to do. They'd probably get their dicks slapped so hard by the USSC that we'd actually see a full rollback of the entire AWB back to pre-93. Then again, I'm just being hopeful and frankly, I find myself not being able to give a shit anymore about this shithole state.

Woodbridge Firearms Trading Post just posted this on Facebook.
Just got a phone call from the State police NOT to act on the letter by the commissioner. I will be contacting the legal department at the state and try to clarify this. I dont want to go to jail and I dont want to see any of you there. As soon as I hear something I will post it. |
|
starting to not give a hoot anymore.
worse come to worse ill drop a down payment on a home in PA and move my stuff there. they already created a cluster#@% by having a ban date for post-ban non-rimfire AWs - 4/4/2013. then they have a ban date for post-ban rimfire AWs - XX/XX/2013 (forgot the date). if they ban transfer of pre-bans, there will be a third date ??/??/???? then they will come after other still legal guns like the KV, so there will be a ban date for those - ??/??/???? the laws are going to be so messed up no one will even bother with gun ownership anymore... |

I am no lawyer, but I have a feeling if the state were to eliminate the "pre-ban" exemption, it would greatly strengthen the lawsuit against the state, because technically as of today, the ar-15 platform is not completely banned.
I think Scott Wilson was very deliberate in his wording in the interview. Its instigating the gun grabber legislators to do something about it. Unfortunately it screws with what little we have left in this state... On the flip side - keeping the exemption in may have been something very strategically planned to keep such lawsuit from doing anything.... |

The more gun control they ram through the more lawsuits there will be. Even if they got rid of 53-202m, the dirty little secret is they will still be sold/transferred in this state, its just people who the state exempted will be buying them. And a further dirty little secret is .22LR AR's will also still be legal to buy/sell/transfer here so long as it doesn't have two or more features. Don't know if that quote from the CCDL head was planned or not. There was probably a better way to phrase it that would tork off the gun grabbers in the legislature just the same. |

SW isn't dumb. I think he is trying to goad the gun grabbers into pressing harder. It demonstrates their incompetence in crafting the laws, and their numerous patchwork attempts. Also, each additional bill that passes further proves the point to those in denial (think fudds) that they really DO want your TURDY AUGHT SICKS.
Put them on the offensive. Even better - send them on a futile witchhunt. |

I tend to agree. The word loophole should be avoided in our current political climate. I would have hope Mr. Wilson would have known that. |

SW addressed this on CTGT. Trying to find it.... I believe this is him
Just to clarify, the question I was asked was whether or not the the DESPP considered what the legislature did a loophole. I have it on good authority that they did. My words were taken out of context in that snippet.
Secondly, this story was breaking, I or CCDL had done nothing to raise awareness to the ability for people to buy these guns. The DESPP is not happy about the prebans being legal, neither is Martin Looney or Don Williams. So I would hope that people get them while they can.. That was my only point of the interview. |

That same person posted this a little while ago... I was asked eight questions, and the main point that I made (that did not make the cut) was that there are relatively so few of these firearms in comparison to what has already been banned, it was not a big deal... Again, Fox was running with this story. I did not seek out the media, I feel that people should know to get these types of firearms while they still can...
Blaming me does not change the fact that they already knew, and were not happy about it. |

Thanks sb. I jumped back into that thread over there.
I'm sure his intentions were better than they were portrayed in that article, but I'm still not thrilled. He has basically given ammunition to people that will say, "Look, even the CCDL agrees that this is a loophole." |

What happened to the days when everybody knew Martin Looney was nothing but a gun hater? Guy got his way in congress back in the early 90's and then everyone quickly caught on to what he was all about. So why are we here 20 years later with people suddenly catering to this guy or trying to play it off like he's some kind of expert on reasonable gun control? Its just stupid. He isn't gonna stop with these proposals, he wants all guns banned from civilians, he's just forcing through the legislation piece by piece.

We are here 20 years later because the sheeple and low information voters in CT place other issues above their 2A rights. For many, if not most, of our fellow citizens, they do not spend even one moment of their normal day thinking about guns or their rights in general. The ONLY time they think about guns is when they pull the one or two they have out of the back of the closet and dust it off, or put of the night stand. They rarely if ever go to the range. Or they only care about the 2nd Amendment when the go to buy a gun, and now ammo. Most people while they know some kind of new gun restrictions have been passed since Sandy Hook, have not taken even five minutes out of their day to investigate. We see people come into this and other sites from time to time who say "I didn't know" when the general details on the new gun ban, and new permits/certificates has been spread across the news for more than six months. We are hear because people walk into a voting booth and always throw the lever for one political party because its how they've always voted, because its how their parents always voted, and walk out patting themselves on the back for doing their civic duty. We are hear because people are duped by what they hear in the media. We are hear because there is a sizable number of our fellow citizens who no longer, for what ever reason, vote. We are here because in CT a large majority of the politicians from both political parties are just different sides of the same progressive coin. We are here because people vote on emotion (social issues) rather than logic, reason and facts (spending, budget, debt). |

Like I was saying a few posts ago...
A Connecticut gun-rights group says it has found a loophole in the state's new firearms legislation that would allow the purchase of assault weapons if they were manufactured prior to 1994. http://newcanaan.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/is-there-a-loophole-in-the-new-connecticut-gun-law_a132902b-newcanaan |
