Ok, since the last picture thread was locked, post your AK pictures here. They can be yours or pictures from the news. I'll start.... Before the last picture thread was locked. A few members asked if this was a kit build or a older chinese milled receiver with a modded Polish stock. This is a Bulgarian milled SA-93 converted to pistol grip configuration. The stock is Polish, but no modifications to it at all. I like the old school type III look. here are mine Norinco Model 87S minus the stock  Minty 1961 made Polish KbK AKS  Polish KbK AKMS  Yugo Zastava M72B1  Valmet M76F, FEG SA 85M1, Norinco Model 56S  IMI Galil 332 ARM & 329 AR, Valmet M71S  Hugarian AMD-65  Hungarian AMD/AMP 69 grenade launching rifle, still looking for the optical sight for it  IMI Galil SAR  Chinese Type 56 with latter export L & D selector markings  last but not least.....my youngest son ..because he wanted a picture taken in front of some of the collection

Man....you guys have some nice stuff. I'm just getting back into AK types after a couple years.  MAK90 with K-var green stock set (US fcg to make it legal.)  Poly Tech AKS 762 Just picked this up last weekend. If it's been fired at all I can't find any evidence of it. Has the cleaning kit still in the stock and everything. |

The only ones I now have, sold/traded the milled receivered ones a couple of years back, kind of regret it now. SAR-1  BWK-92  SAR-2

Yeap. I bought an SAR-1 off my buddy. Shot it. First thing I noticed was that the trigger didn't feel at all like my AR, so I replaced that. I soon realized the pistol grip was was too small, I could almost wrap my fingers around it 2 times-- sorry but I am not some famine stricket eastern european pheasant with hands the size of a 5 year old girl. Then, I noticed that the sight picture was wrong, I just could not hande the "ears" on the front the sight, so out that went in exchange for an ACE front block. Next was the stock... just not comfy like my AR at all, so into the fireplace that went. I then noticed that it had no rails! There was no where to mount an V-grip, light, sling attachment, or even an optic. I tried one of those side receiver mounts but that thing is ugly and not ergonomic at all, it felt like having an automobile part attached to my gun . Then the color and finish was all wrong, it was ugly... it needed a more tactical look to blend in properly with the rest of my firearms. I am pleased to says that having completed all the necessary upgrades that I am very happy with it.

Here's my Mak90 w/a Romanian sidefolder. I did all the work myself. I know it's no high end gun but it's sweet. I ejoyed making it 922r compliant. Learned alot here and wanted to say thanks. I am now working on a SA GI 1911-A1.   edited to update pics. Also finished the 1911A1.

AK's don't have to be high end to work and be fun. One of my mostest favoritest AK's was a Chinese Type 56 stamped receiver rifle that I had a Romanian side folder installed on. |

reef12 Thanks, ive worked hard to collect all of them.. i still need a couple more to finish my collection my goal is to have a example of some type from every country that has had them.. I still need a Yugo and a E. German, and then there will be some ill never be able to afford or find like a N. Korean |
