For those that might not have seen these pics in the other thread, here are some pics of an Aimpoint T1 mounted in a LaRue LT660HK on a standard AR-15 flat-top upper receiver. When using the flip-up back-up iron sights, the tip of the front sight post and the red dot are visualized approximately 5/8 of the way up from the bottom of the Aimpoint field of view, hence the "upper 5/8 cowitness" nomenclature.

Molon, do you see a downside to using an HK 416 diopter sights and the larue medium mount with a t1. It will be on a 16" barrel. Building it for a friend, but he wants his sights low to the upper, not for any specific reason other than he can..  I'm afraid I don't own any of the HK diopter sights so I'm unable to comment. |
