Ear protection was for poofs and children back then. Probably the reason my Grandfather started every conversation with, "EH? WHAT'S THAT YOU SAID? SPEAK UP, USE YOUR MAN VOICE!"

An optional black scarf, tied around your head, fullfilled the role of earpro. Eyepro on the other hand was not required.

Anyone seen new Book of the AR15 on news stands. There are several articles at the back that are reprints from Guns & Ammo from the early 60s to the late 60s/early 70s. Pretty cool.

Furniture looks lighter than black to me. Four 01's. Sweeter than the babe. You can find four babes everywhere but when was the last time one saw four 01's in one bundle of joy. All with waffle mags too. I saw one today that didn't have a chrome BCG in it #15xxx for $16K and furniture was black. Story was LEO. For those coins I want chrome BCG and green furniture personally.

That's a Delft. One of the bits of nearly-unobtanium in our little hobby here. Originally designed for the Dutch AR10s, modified slightly for the AR15.

So what is the back story on these photos? Obviously they are from Life magazine so there must be a story somewhere. Anyone know who any of those people are? Where were the shots taken?
As to "chicken wing" well I say "Retro rifle, retro stance".
