Hello all. Usually post in the retro forum, but posting this for my son. He ordered, 30 days ago, a barreled upper from M16parts.com. http://www.m-16parts.com/index.html  They charged his card, but have not seen it. Called about week and a half ago, and was told they were waiting on some parts, should go out within a couple of days. He has tried to call again, but no answer Friday or today, but could be the holiday.  Anyone have any experience with this company? Thanks!

I don’t know M16parts.com.
Check with your CC company and see how long you have to dispute the charge.
Cancel the order and ask for your money back.
Do not let M16parts.com run out the clock.
If your money is not refunded dispute the charge while you can.
Do not do business with unknowns without checking with their local BBB for complaints.
Charging your CC and not immediately shipping is not a sign of a good place to do business with.

If this is a crap company they will do everything possible to run out the clock.
The usual would be to tell you they have shipped when they have not.

Yes, we have sent them an email that we need a tracking # or refund by the end of the day Wednesday. Certainly will not let the clock run out on this!

Four or five years ago, I ordered a complete upper from them.   They charged it right away, and answered one email.   Over the next several months, they never picked up the phone, returned a message or answered an email.   I finally reported them to the Better Business Bureau who had gotten other complaints about them.  I found more complaints other places on the net.  Unfortunately, by the time I looked into reversing the charges, too much time had passed, so I posted on GD warning people away from them.    I just got burned, plain and simple.

So many good vendors out there.  I hate it when I see people fall into some of these pits on the web.  Best of luck on the outcome.

Have him check out some of our supporting vendors when you resolve it.

Same thing happened to me with AWC(American Weapons Components)Formerly: Ares armour.

Got the BBB involved, and also read 100's of complaints, yet they are still up and running.

Luckily I'm only out $39 for us husky sling, but I have read quite a few others are out the price of an entire upper assembly who waited like I did and will probably never see their money. Every now and then I get an update from the BBB, but they still have not responded.

Lesson learned? Don't wait hoping your product will eventually ship, get that charge reversed ASAP before it's too late. Patients isn't always a virtue

He has already started a charge back process. He used a CCard rather than debit, so he should be ok.

Just a little update here. Sent a firm email Saturday night demanding a refund. Mentioned that the chargeback process has begun, and that you either refund me or the CCard company will, but the CCard company will make it tough on you. Your choice, and that we will not quit, give up, or let the clock run out on this. Refund this tonight, you do not have to wait for the business week to do the refund.  Lo and behold, received a reply an hour later, stating that the upper was to have shipped this week, but refund has been sent. He talked about how we did not understand the custom rifle process, parts not all in at one time, military contracts taking precedence, election, and etc. We shall see, but not going to give up.

Odds are this shop was using current sales to fund older orders.
You are lucky they did not ship you crap that was not worth what you paid no matter how low the price was.
It is not necessarily bad to buy cheap, just buy from places that are known to fix their problems.

Well, called the bank and they are showing that a credit is pending, will show up on Wednesday. So, they did do the refund. Will add, that they did not say THEY  fulfill military contracts, but parts are being supplied to gov. contracts first, and people like them second. Still, maybe they fill some orders, but they do have problems. Went ahead and ordered a standard 20" rifle kit from Midway, showed in stock, here by Thursday.
