Well it seems to be all the rage right now...almost every company is making them.....I have done alot of business with MidWest Industries and I know they make quality products and stand behind them 110%,,,,,but as I said....they all are into it now....JP Enterprise makes some good ones as well.... one other option for the ArmaLite is the SPR kit...have you looked at that....it has the monolithic rail on the top and add on rails to suit how ever you want to configure it.....I don't have any experience with them but I have heard that they are a very functional piece...Personally I like my Drop ins.....but that's me.... Send me a note of your ideas for the configuration and I will see what I can find for you....oh and add a price tag as well...that is the biggest factor.... SASS |

Nice Rifle and nice pics too...Thanks for adding and sharing....
I, of course, like the Hogue Grip....I want to get a couple with the ArmaLite Logo on them...If you decide to go with a railed fore arm....MI has the drop ins in OD Green.....well worth it for mounting stuff....and I believe C-products has the mags to match...just in case you are making a list for Santa..... According to ArmaLite, they only made a small number of this woodgrain furniture set for the AR-10 when it first came out. Admittedly, I am cheating a bit since the custom Tom Sawyer Mfg. lower and 6.8SPC barrel are not ArmaLite, but the rest of the rifle is.

Specs are as listed
Troy BUIS from Larue Larue LT-104 mount/ring combo Larue 13.2 rail w Magpul covers. Leopold Mk 2, 4-12x40 Harris bipod Wilson Combat TTU single stage trigger Tango down pistol grip I have considered other stocks and a Smith Vortex flash hider but the current stock and flash hider work well for me. So for now a I will keep them. |

LarryG....that is KICK ASS....I wish I had the $$$ to do something like that...On that note...I wish ArmaLite would "KICK" some DPMS butt and come out with their own M-15 SASS...
to put the Mini SASS...no offense meant...in the dirt....They could use a M-15 T for the base....like the SUPER SASS is basically a T to start......but all that aside my friend...FINE LOOKING COLLECTION..and Nice Job on Your M-15 SASS....

I just picked up a M15A4 a couple months ago. It shoots well and no failures of any kind. I haven't had a "black rifle" since I sold my Colt back in '84,but this felt very familiar.I think I'll keep this one around for a while. I must have caught an Armalitr bug...I bought a new AR-10t last week.

Awesome looking M-15's i have been looking at these rifles in particular from armalite i was thinking about buying the M15A4 if i did buy an armalite do you guys recommend this ? For someone who is gonna just be target shooting chasing off some of the intruders self defense and if needed to put my life in the hands of this gun i could depend on it?

I would and do....if it came to it...either one of my ArmaLites would do the job and not falter....I know of others that will say the same...as for the A4...yes it would work...they have a 20" barrel...where the A4 C has the 16"...just something to consider....you will get better distance with the A4, but for in close...the Carbine is more suited....but that is a decision you will have to make.... I will post my picture later, but my M15A4.. well I could not be happier with it, I shot sub moa with a bipod standing behind it at 100 yards using American Eagle 5.56
Its a reliable system, like all guns, keep it clean and you won't have any issues |
