Looks nice, but the SOCOM barrel is way to heavy and not needed. You're right, and I wasn't even considering one, but the combination of the roll mark and the socom barrel... I guess I'll have to get one. The bad thing is, I've got two KAC RAS's, two MaTech BUIS's, and a Surefire 951 and 961 that were slated to go on the two LE6920's I was gonna buy this year. I suppose I'll get one of each, and be even happier, and sell the extra stuff on the EE. Then I'm gonna stop clicking on jagdkommando's threads, before I end up in the poor house, or a padded room.

Part of the M4 PIP (Product Improvement Program) is to replace the single sided selector on the M4 / M4A1 with an ambidextrous selector. DSA has posted a couple of times that they have been contracted to provide new ambidextrous selector levers based on the Colt design - probably for retro-fit of existing systems, while new military weapons will begin coming with them. SOCOM on the other hand has been using aftermarket ambidextrous selector levers on their M4A1s for years, so it makes sense that Colt would "roll out" the ambi-selector with the SOCOM model. The ambidextrous selector has actually been "planned" for decades, and was supposed to be one of the changes for the M16A2 and was used on the Colt ACR. That was the original reason for stamping selector markings on both sides of the M16A2's lower receiver. It would be nice to see Colt tranistioning over to ambi-selectors on all their civilian models, but who knows if they will. ~Augee |

It would be nice to see Colt tranistioning over to ambi-selectors on all their civilian models, but who knows if they will. ~Augee to add to that, all current colt selectors can be used ambi, just remove it from right and re install on left, most people dont know that sure its not got a lever on each side, but you can put it on either side depending on which is your killing hand and which is your alternate killing hand. they are easy to ID because its the new bigger lever |

Cheers No The LEO marked 6920s were in full swing, a couple of years into production and IIRC, a few of these got out without the marks. Thats what Mark Roberts at Colt told me when I spoke with him about it. |
| Trying to pin one of these down, in WA we have been having to pay sales tax on the value of the gun for transfers, and transfer fees are in excess of $50, sometimes around $75-100, so long story short I'm just going to get one when one of my local stores has one in stock. Or maybe if Impact Guns gets them in I might reschedule a trip to see my dad in Idaho and buy one in Boise. I'm dying for one! |

Almost every prototype they build usually comes with an ambi-selector, and often a Norgon ambi-catch. Military receivers have been marked on both sides in anticipation of an ambi-selector for thirty years... ~Augee |
