Mark can sell his trigger at a much lower price because he is not going regular distribution.
Regular distribution would look something like this $250 at 40% would put a trigger at $150 wholesale price. WDs would pay $90-$100 their cost. |

UPS is telling me the LabRadar package should be delivered later today. When I ordered I received a free USB battery pack so I can play with it on the range without burning up batteries. I'll do an unboxing and post pictures later today, and I hope to get to the range Friday with the LabRadar and M3 for some comparisons.

How much was the labradar?

We tried using a Labradar the other day and couldn't get it to register suppressed shots
|
|
|
I just got my first chrony a few weeks ago as I've been needing one to test reloads. I will definitely be getting a Labradar because they are much easier to use. With mine there is at least a few shots per string that don't read which is aggravating when each round is close to 2 bucks.
I'd like to know if you get and kind of difference between the Magnetospeed and Labradar. I'll keep an eye out for your thoughts on it. |

That's very interesting, the LR shows lower es and sd but the average velocity is fairly close between the m3 and LR.
I'd imagine there would be a bigger difference between a regular chronograph and the LR. |

The M3 is pretty easy to set up using a strap system to clamp onto the outside of the barrel. You align the bayonet so that it is under the flight path of the bullet and a couple of inches out from the front of the muzzle. From there, you plug in the bayonet to the control unit, set the sensitivity and record the shots. The Labradar is a bit harder to setup in that it has multiple menus that have to be set in order to accurately record the MVs. For example, you set the offset from the muzzle and where you want the MV to be recorded, the weight of the bullet, etc., etc. You then set the series and arm the radar, then take your shots. The LR worked well and I didn't have any dropped shots, but you do have to de-arm the radar and save the series, move to the next series and then re-arm the radar. That was a bit more cumbersome than the M3, but once you get used to the order, it's easy to keep on track. I also captured some MVs suppressed. I did drop some shots but that was a problem with the muzzle's position in relation to the radar. Also, I was not getting the downrange velocity capture at the 75 and 100y marks. I suspect it was the placement of the radar in relation to the overhang that disrupted the Doppler pattern. Lastly, the LR has a SD card and every series / shot is captured in a .csv file that exports to Excel. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/52736/260-Chrono-April-2017-LR-and-M3-192288.jpg View Quote I look forward to seeing what your handload development looks like. |

So has anyone run those numbers throe Applied Ballistics or another calculator to see what the superior downrange load is ?
I am not sure what prime is loaded with .. It is Norma correct? |

I ordered some 130gr ELDMs (projectiles) from Midway along with a ejector disassembly tool.
I also ordered some 130gr ELDM cartridges from Buds as they have free shipping on orders over $199. That effectively reduced the price per box to 23.60 (I did spring $3 for insurance), or $1.18 a round. That price was still cheaper than the lowest price I found ($1.08rd) when figuring shipping that would have been $29.10 (WA to VA). That will give me a couple hundred rounds of Prime and Hornady in case I really do get to Quantico at the end of the month. |

Been following the thread. Thanks for the info. I've got a FDE tAR on order and I'm considering ordering a 260 barrel. If so, goimg with 22", as I can't see giving up the expected performance of the 4". this thread has pretty much sealed the deal. I'll be contributing once I get it all in hand.

And Applied Balistics has a custom drag curve for it and not anything for the 130gl eld match so i had to hand put in the info from Hornady websigh.. I ran the numbers in Applied Ballistics at 1000m with a 10mph wind at 90deg and the MV that was stated in this thread and looks like the 130 gr ELDM has .3 Mil less drop but .3mil more wind hold and about 45LB less Energy compared to the FGGM load.. Did not run the numbers on the Prime ammo since it was $7 more a box lol |

I get some pretty bad case swipes from my bolt, I believe it is not the revised one that you have with the wider oval ejector. Does yours do the same to your brass with that version? If not I need to get that changed out stat.
