Had to work Sunday and Monday but had a chance to get to the range before sunset Monday. Took the Lab Radar out to try my luck. Ran some Prime and Hornady ELD 130s through the .260. Shot some Prime and Hornady 120 and 140 AMAX through the 6.5 AI. Also put some MK316 Mod0 through the FDE Heavy. All rounds were shot both suppressed and unsuppressed. The cans used were a TranQuillo and a TB Ultra 7 in 6.5.
The Lab Radar was very easy to set up and use. It had no problem tracking all the different size rounds out to 65 yards. That was the furthest distance that I had selected. They advertise 100 and I will try that when I have more time. I met another shooter there that was new to the sport and had never fired a suppressed weapon. I handed him a loaded magazine and told him to have fun. After his third shot he asked me if I knew where it went. I told him that I thought it was in the same hole as his second shot. He was so excited he did not finish the magazine. Instead he asked to call the range cold and ran down to the target to take pictures. 
Which reminds me, I tried to take pictures of the pretty rifles but the sun was setting and it is a covered range so the pics were too dark. I appreciate all of the information being shared in this thread. Thanks D3 for keeping it going. Fr8dog |

I do want to say thanks to all who have been following this thread - we hit 20,000 views - some great contributions so far and it will even get better as we start the reports with handloading and the folks with sparrels enter the thread. Had a short break and took the time to put the data from the last range trip in a spreadsheet. Apologies to D3 for copying his format but it looked so good and I did not want to reinvent the wheel.
I included some FDE Heavy data and some Prime and Hornady 6.5 CM data. The FDE info is for those that have one and I though it might be interesting to compare the Prime 130 load in 6.5 CM. The Hornady 120 and 140 AMAX were the closet thing I had in 6.5 CM to the Hornady 130 ELD in .260.

Okay, not much of an update tonight, the situation with my Mom is moving towards hospice so there are things I need to do. It's been expected, we just didn't know when it might be necessary. Strange is that they're calling it long-term hospice. I thought those terms were mutually exclusive so I need to find out more about the situation (Mom is in Florida and I'm in VA).
Gorilla ammo arrived today, a case of the 130s and I also ordered a box of the 123gr SMKs. I'll report on them when I can. The new Spuhr mount (lower) also arrived so I need to remount the Gen II. Good shooting guys and hopefully the sparrel guys will be stopping in to report.

The results were within a few decimals of the LabRadar values. I think that the LabRadar retains some MV values to the right of the decimal and uses them in its ES and SD calculation. That's what accounts for the slight difference. |

I pulled one of the Hornady 130 ELD-Ms. Like the Gorilla, the projectile was loaded deep. Whatever powder Hornady is using is loaded to 42.1grs.

Okay, so why am I starting my reply with a picture of the truck at 7-11? Because I was stuck, it wasn't moving, the shifter was stuck in park! I moved the steering wheel, pushed it back and forth, turned it on and off, checked the fuses and called the damn dealership, who hung up on me four times, no luv. I called HH6 to see if she had left Charlottesville since I had rifles and ammo in the cab, nope, she's still hanging out with the daughter. I called AAA (member for 20+ years) and scheduled a flatbed. Forty-five minutes later Shawn arrived. First thing he says is "you must have good taste." He was referring to my LaRue bumper sticker and MBT hat. I smiled and told him I may have a couple of rifles in the cab; we then talked rifles for a few minutes and he described his new SP1 build. Anyways, we cycled the truck, pushed it back and forth and turned the steering wheel, still no luv. Then Shawn jumps into the cab and pops off a small cap by the shifter and presses a button and boom, it's out of park. I'm like  and he says that's the shifter release, well shit, that's not in the damn manual! I would hope the dealer could have told me that if they hadn't cut me off four times.  Anyways, that got me back on my way and since I had already been to the range, the balance in the universe was restored. I have to get it to the dealer and find out what sensor/switch is bad, that it's a special order only made once a millennium and it will cost thousands to fix.
I'm the type that gets to the range early, so I was there 30 minutes before you're allowed first shot (0900). A couple of other guys showed up and we placed targets. We were fighting the clock since there was a defensive pistol course heading to the range at 10am, which would make shooting on the rifle range hell since they go cold range like every two minutes. Anyways, we're ready for first shots when a guy shows up at 8:58am and wants to place a target, okay, drag your ass down there, which he does. Now I'm looking at his "target" and there is no target. Which of course he doesn't realize until he walks back from the 100y line and turns around to see there is no target on his target. Another 5 minutes lost while he goes downrange, again. As soon as he finishes we go hot and wouldn't you know another guy shows up. He wants to go cold and we all just gave him a look that told him he was going to wait on us. I rezeroed the Vortex Gen II on the Mausingfield now that I have a lower Spuhr mount. I used the Hornady and it just shoots so well I'm going to shoot up my other stuff and just use this 130gr ELD-M as my commercial load. I also tried shooting some of the Gorilla 123gr SMKs but they were just too tight to the chamber. I fired three and was experiencing a really heavy bolt so I stopped. I switched to the LaRue 260 and shot some Gorilla 123 and 130, and some Hornady, while capturing MVs on the LabRadar. By that time is was 10am and the pistol folks showed up so I packed up and headed to 7-11 for what I thought would be a quick in and out for a cold Snapple. 
Clearly I haven't mastered using the iPotato through the scope yet. 
Tried the Caldwell V-bag but didn't like it, I went back to the Triad wedge. 
Still ejecting at 4 o'clock. 
Bolt gun with the Hornady: 
LaRue with the Hornady. It didn't help that a guy came up to me while I was firing the string and interrupted to ask to go cold range. 
Two strings with the Gorilla - 123, then 130. Clearly I was breathing when I shot these.

Just got back from my first range session with my 22" .260Rem barrel, and I'm impressed. Shot 65 rounds of factory Hornady 130 ELD-M. Rifle ran 100%, and I had the gas block on the suppressed setting even though I was just running a muzzle brake. Bolt locked back every time and brass ejection was strong and consistent, so I'll leave it on suppressed for the time being. Banged steel out to 1008 yards with ease, and I do mean ease. Dial 7.9 mils, hold .5 right and hit a 18" plate every time you pull the trigger. Muzzle velocity trued out to be 2797 even though my Magnetospeed was only showing 2755. With that APA brake on it the gun didn't move at all, watching trace and calling hits for myself was a breeze. This rifle will be my new PRS gun. Next local PRS match is a night match with targets out to 1760, excited to get this rifle out there.
This is the only 100yd paper target I shot, the rest of the rounds were out on steel plates. First few rounds down the tube were to get on paper, and then I shot the group on the bottom right while aiming at the lower orange dot. Made an adjustment and shot the top left and top right groups, made one final adjustment and shot the bottom left group. Shot prone off a bipod and rear bag. 26.5 Baro / 85 deg / 21% environmentals. Went out with FRBaseball today to try out his new 22" .260 barrel and took a few pictures. I've always been a bolt gun snob but this particular set up is making me a believer. He let me take it for a spin and I put the first three rounds I fired into about 4" at 650. Very impressed with this rig.

| I am curious about everyone's reloading experiences as well. I'm giving serious thought to necking up 243 brass as opposed to buying factory loaded ammo. Seems everywhere else on the interwebs people are using h4350 powder which is out of stock literally everywhere I can think to look online. |

Next local PRS match is a night match with targets out to 1760, excited to get this rifle out there. This is the only 100yd paper target I shot, the rest of the rounds were out on steel plates. First few rounds down the tube were to get on paper, and then I shot the group on the bottom right while aiming at the lower orange dot. Made an adjustment and shot the top left and top right groups, made one final adjustment and shot the bottom left group. Shot prone off a bipod and rear bag. 26.5 Baro / 85 deg / 21% environmentals. While you may struggle to shoot ever decreasing groups at 100, the dynamics (not the fundamentals) change when shooting steel at distance. You still control sight picture, breathing, trigger and follow-through, but the pressure is different. You can see if you pulled a shot a ¼ MOA and it wears on you whereas shooting steel gives you that immediate audible feedback or requires a simple hold. Originally Posted By WolfMetalFab:

I’m going to use H4350 as I stocked up and will be working up loads at 2gr increments. Since the seating depth is somewhat dictated by the magazine, I may load to COAL and see what happens. If that doesn't work, then I can mess with seating depth a bit. Originally Posted By JCIN:
