Okay folks, arfcommers mettee and T-Ball(me) got together for some long shooting in the OK Panhandle. I'll just preface this by saying that we are both Larue-heads and are very biased towards the kit the gang at LT puts out. We are definitely NOT Tier 1 guys. Far from it, but we both can hold our own with a decent rifle.
The test subject was my tOBR 7.62 18" Field Grade barrel wearing a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 in an LT-112. Ammo was DTAC 175gr chronographed at 2550. After I figured out the dope for that day, mettee set off knocking the crap out of a 12" plate at 1,000 yds. The goal was to film a video of some hits, disassemble the rifle, re assemble, and hit again. Well, it worked! Except my dumbass was hovering my thumb over the stop button on the iphone and hit stop for a second. Wind was a beech (15 mph right to left, full value)as you will hear, but enjoy some world class photography and shooting...

Nice shooting, the wind was obviously blowing good from the sound on the video, and as you said 15 MPH full value, that's no easy task to consistently dope at 1000 yards. You well know from shooting it, but just FYI to those reading that don't know the difficulty level your task of hitting steel in that kind of crosswind with the 7.62 was, much less hitting it again after taking the rifle completely down/re assemble and shoot. The wind drift with those factors is over 13 FEET of drift. Just a 1 MPH change would cause a difference of nearly one foot or the size of the target in drift correction. Damn Good shooting sir. ATA: The complete take down of the tOBR, re assemble and still hit your target at that range is....well....the smallest error contributing factor in that set up that I see because...................... Once I realized that Tyler was taking video the pucker factor went up  After the take down I had a hard time getting comfy on the gun, and the wind picked up. I was worried that I would fail, the dang wind had me jumping back and forth on the left and right sides of that 12" plate for 10 or more shots. I could step back down to the 24" plate and hit again, but the wind was a challenge for me on the 12". Like Safetyoff said, between 10 and 15 feet of wind drift, seems crazy but yeah at times I held 4 to 5 mils into the wind.
I should have let Tyler tighten the barrel nut, I put more than he had on it. We didn't think of that until after I had already assembled the rifle. I cant wait to go back and try it again

This little corner of the world I call home has some advantages. Shooting whenever, wherever, and whatever we feel like at the time.
