I have a question in GD here...want/NEED! a few women opinions.....it in regards to a non diamond engagement ring.... Opinions from women needed Thank you |
BURN, if your girlfriend is non traditional like you, then I think it'd be alright. However, I also agree with d_c here. I think you should probably stick with a diamond, then give her the ruby for a special occasion or anniversary. Tough call. It's beautiful, though.

I agree with the girls..The Ruby is beautiful and she may like it but you might have better luck with a diamond first. If she's not traditional though then she may like it. Try asking her casually in a conversation or jokingly and see what she says..Sarcasm allows for room to make corrections..

That's what I think too. It's a beautiful ring, I love rubies.

| Okay, I'm odd man out.. I like sapphires and to get a sapphire as an engagement ring wouldn't bother me in the least, but I am also not very traditional either. Also coming from someone who doesn't wear much jewelry. Take it for what it's worth. I don't see a problem with it if you know she likes Rubies. |

well I just asked her a question I said.... for an engement ring what would you lik ebeter...all diamonds or a center ruby with diamond accents or a center diamond with ruby accents...she said either one with rubies...so I think ill get her a diamond with ruby accents....thanks for the advice....I told hewr about the thread and she was happy that I was concerned enough to make it a part of my "ARFCOM" activities....BURN!! |
Glad to hear that she would like it. Atleast you know her taste enough to be able to ask her what she prefers.

WOW the second one was really nice. I am all about simple and classic. I would be vey happy with a simple white gold band. It shouldn't be about the ring, it's about what the ring represents. That is whats important!! Early Congrats!!! Giving it to her for Christmas? |
