UPDATED TO ADD
We are working around the clock (literally as I didnt sleep until this morning!) to address the issues and concerns in this thread. If I am not responding to your post, it's not being ignored. Please just continue to be patient and let us know the issues which may not have already been mentioned. We will get to them as quickly as we can. On a related note, we had a server attack yesterday and this morning one of the servers in the cluster locked up and caused them all to overload. We fixed the issue and hopefully fixed the server in question. We have another plan in place to help avoid that. Hopefully we can get things in place for it this weekend. Nothing is set in stone, other than not going back to the old site. 
I already have it on my agenda to add a smaller font option and we continue to alter spacing and fix display issues on a daily basis. So let's count those out. I am currently fixing the issue with EEManager... sorry about that. I should have it fixed in a few minutes. Also: [article=669] |

From what I have seen so far:
- My topics looks busted. I have a fairly current thread in the Investing forum that is not showing up. - Mixed content warning from the font sites while using the site in https - CSS looks off. Padding seems excessive. Some elements like 'Post Editor' header are gigantic. ETA: - Layout gets garbled when viewing from a S6 while holding vertical and cannot resize to make it fit. Horizontal appears OK. Again CSS/padding related if I had to guess. - Zoom set to 90% helps... some - Perhaps have black or gray be the default color. Gives its some of the old feel and might help transition users. |

First, I'll say that I'm all about the back end/editing fixes, as the old site desperately needed improvement in that area
1) Space bar issue when quoting is still not fixed. 2) HTTPS is broken due to a scripts error in Chrome 3) Overall, the layout is awful. It is painful to look at. It looks like a mobile billboard, emphasis on mobile. 4) Load times are painful. Frequently seeing 7+ second render times, as measured by the Chrome tool 5) TONS of wasted space, which again goes back to the terrible layout. 6) Dropdown menus. They are not intuitive at all. Literally nothing about the new design is intuitive actually. 7) No mention anywhere of chat.ar15.com? |

Maybe its just my eyes, but it seems like some background colors are too bright (OP and alternating colors for topics on main forum page). You already said you were going to be working on spacing.
ETA - also, would be handy to have a duplicate "drop down" menu for Discussion forums at teh bottom of the page. I usually scroll thru one forum, and after seeing everything what I want, I'm at teh bottom of the page. Before we had the radio buttons, now have to scroll back to top to get to be able to jump to another section such as hometown ETA2 - nevermind, sticky bar works well enough, didn't see it initially |

It sucks! Even with default settings everything is to fucking big and cartoon looking. Can't we get an option to keep the old site look with the updated features?
This is just terrible. Everything looks like ass! Some of the new features are cool and all but damn. why did you have to change the format and look of the site? Can we get an option to keep the old site? or at least the look of the old site with whatever new features you put in? I'd rather have the old site with it's faults then this shit. You put out a beta and still released this shit live? WTF? Even with settings fixed the avatars and posts are fucking huge! Everything looks like mashed assholes. |

Once some of the bugs are worked out, and some normal (color sig lines, .gif avatars) features are returned, you'll be well on your way to making Arfcom great (it's kind of shit at the moment) again. functionality looks solid. only issue i have is the display size--it's almost like going back to 640x480, or looking at a mobile site on a regular monitor. would also much prefer a return to 50 posts per page.

I obviously didn't read the OP...  I see you addressed that. 
1) The sizing is too large. As in everything. I CTRL - it and then it's better, but you can't see what the hell the emoticons are. I was so used to reading the small print here, when I'd click a link and read some other site for a while and finally x out of it, my eyes would have to readjust to arfcom. I liked the finer print. Does this make sense? 2) I scroll through GD about 99% of the time, reach the bottom of the page and click on General Discussion and it refreshes and takes me back to the top. Now there isn't that option. I just got home from work and when I clicked on the General Discussion button on the bottom of the page, it refreshed into the new site, so I haven't explored much.[b][/b] |

When in the main forum (not thread) the topic name is broken between the top and bottom lines. You already said you were going to work on spacing/size so that's cool. Overall, I'm not too upset about it, I'll get used to it. Oh, the emoticons are pretty small in the preview screen. Oh, after I post it jumps me to the bottom of the page, I'm not a fan of that.

Actually kinda like it... Especially can upload pics right to the thread without having to link them posting videos is pretty much the same, just a youtube icon now. Much easier to read on my iphone On the PC the emocion menu is a bit hard to read without picking a few till you find the one you want. Overall

You should fire your BETA testers.
Subscriptions green arrow takes you to the wrong post, because posts per page changed. EE is broke. You added in steps to get to subscriptions/myboard/active topics/etc The drop down menus make the experience and ease of use worse. |
